Why is it that I catch myself wondering where it all went wrong for the “band” more times than I should. It honestly is a shame. ‘Songs about Jane’ actually has some really good tracks namely ‘This Love’, ‘She Will Be Loved’, ‘and Sunday Morning’, and I’m also quite fond of ‘Misery’ from ‘Hands All Over’. And with tracks like these it’s all only 2-5 people on the writhing credits, not to mention it’s Adam AND his band members. But nowadays, with every single release Maroon 5 becomes less and less of an actual band, and more of Adam Levine (and others), trying to do whatever the hell is popular, with writing credits from everyone single exec from the music industry, except for god forbid any of the members who aren’t Adam.

@@TheCycloneHunter I understand, but at least change it up a bit, all of these albums sound so similar, doesn't matter if it's a "so bad it's good", just plain bad and cringe, purposefully bad, a fun album, a classic album, a more subtle, experimental record. he chooses albums with very similar styles, approaches, from similar time periods and scenes. How about changing it up a bit, leaving the comfort zone for once, something completely new and refreshing. I mean just look at his Loveless reaction, and now it's one of his favorite albums. He says he is more motivated now, but for a while he was complaining about his fatigue with music and if you check out his AOTY reviews and rankings I think it is clear why, just the same stuff over and over again. I understand the reviews over maroon 5 these days, but I also know that most of these negative reviews arise because of the "loss of identity". Most musicians, nowadays, make generic music, but many get positive reviews and good grades because their works are based on pop, where they were born and grew up. In the case of maroon 5, as long as they make pop music, they will always be criticized because they will always be compared to their old albums.

The fact is that they are not even making pop music now...just trash edm/trap songs. This album is 60% trap/hip hop and 40% pop/edm. If I listen Maroon 5, I want to hear pop music, not this garbage. And there aren't even big hits except Memories
