Hot take: Maiden's first two albums are actually pretty underrated. Sure, it's not as refined as their later work, but it still has some of the strongest bangers they've ever written: Iron Maiden, Prowler, Phantom of The Opera, Remember Tomorrow, Killers, Wrathchild etc. It's pretty beloved around here in Brazil Plus Paul is actually a pretty good vocalist and fitting in the style of the first 2(I actually took a photo with him :) ), despite Bruce being way better

Fun Fact: The first Iron Maiden release was a 7" EP called The Soundhouse Tapes released in late 1979, which had earlier versions of the songs that would appear on the debut album like "Iron Maiden" & "Prowler" but "Invasion" ended up getting rerecorded as a B-side to the single "Women In Uniform" & later restructured & rewritten as "Invaders" from "The Number Of The Beast", The original pressing was limited to 5,000 copies and ended up becoming rare fetching I think $2,000-$3,000 or $1,000 im not too sure, but there are unofficial pressings of the EP that were also released on colored vinyl.

Doing the Blazed Bailey era and especially the making of "The X-Factor" album Steve Harris had a really dark period in his personal life. Death of parents, divorce and band struggles hence the darker theme of the album and I can speculate a lower energy put into it.

The time I heard Maiden, I did not like them. The first album I listened to was "Somewhere in Time". Did not like it at all. I went back and listen to "Killers", liked it. Then "Powerslave", LOVED IT! I was hooked. Then I just listened to every Maiden album out at the time. This was before "Fear of the Dark". What was cool is that every album was a gem. Once I listened to all their albums, I went back to "Somewhere in Time", it's my favorite album. I actually do love the Blaze era. I wish the production was better and I wish they had tuned down for his voice. Listen to his solo band playing "Sign of the Cross". It's AWESOME! Since Bruce and Adrian rejoined, "Dance of Death" is my favorite. "Brave New World" is great, I wish "X-Factor" hand that production. LOVE "Book of Souls". I think it's interesting how some of those albums are ok recording but actually sound great live. I think I like more songs in "No Prayer for the Dying" than in "Fear of the Dark". In "Fear" I LOVE "Childhood's End". Very underrated song and I never hear people mention that song. I think it's their shortest epic song.

Yes! The big weak point of that album is just how it's arranged. It starts out really strong (Lord of the Flies especially I feel is the most underrated Iron Maiden song of them all), but then there's three slow and somber songs about war, that together last 19 minutes and don't really feel connected to each other in any way. It bogs the whole album down and it never recovers. I did myself a different version of the album with better song order (also ditched couple and added one originally left out), and that made it so much better as a whole.

Senjutsu is A tier IMO. I like the progressive elements in that album and especially love the song Hell on Earth. Saw them play that in Indio at Powertrip festival and damn it was good. I actually agree with the rest of your grades, but would move the D's to C's because it's Maiden. Even their bad albums are better than most bands good albums.
