The drummer here is Jan Axel Bloomberg aka HELLHAMMER, he's on a whole another level of drumming and at age 55, he still plays like this!!

It's like a straining bathroom constipation session with a poorly recorded metal soundtrack. Better than most of today's music.

Other black metal tracks I would recommend you check them out: 1. Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger | A Blaze in the Northern Sky. 2. Satyricon - Mother North. 3. Bathory - A Fine Day to Die | Call from the Grave | The Lake. 4. Gorgoroth - Radix Malorum | Gorgoroth | Profetens Åpenbaring. 5. Emperor - I Am The Black Wizards | Inno A Satana. 6. Dissection - Where Dead Angels Lie | Black Dragon | The Somberlain. 7. Immortal - Tyrants | Return To Cold | All Shall Fall. 8. Marduk - Heart of the Funeral | Wolves. I could keep mentioning tracks of each band, but this would only make the list bigger than it already it.

6 is by Dissection, you forgot to mention I'd also change Gorgoroth's Radix Malorum to Prosperity and Beauty and Immortal's Return to cold to At the Heart of Winter But that's just me. A great list there

Is bathory considered as black metal? too me is sounds more like viking death metal
@Punpas2 күн бұрын
@@pickamaterina1313 Well, Bathory changed their style in the early '90s to something often called Viking Metal, so you are not wrong. But they are both black metal pioneers and viking metal legends

He wasn't supposed to be the vocalist as I'm sure people explained in comments already. The original died by his own hand a few years before. There's a famous piece of trivia about this record being the only one where a murderer (Varg of Burzum) plays with his victim (Euronymous).

The parts where he sings Latin here is good though.

Great reaction Moosh!!! One of the legends of Second Wave of Black Metal!! Attila's vicals are definitely unique and can bit or miss with listeners. I would also recommend Dimmu Borgir "Spellbound by the Devil", Satyricon "Dark Mediegal Times" and Emperor "Alsvartr / Ye Entrancemperium" for your next reactions. Happy New Year!!! 😉🤘🤘🖤🖤🔥🔥🔥

Ew, Dimmu, Emperor & Satyricon... Although Satyricon does have some decent tunes & excellent Turbonegro cover but these the most mainstream out of 'em all, how's about Burzum, Darkthrone, Taake, Tsjuder, Carpathian Forest & Ulver. Then on 2 the Swedish & especially Finnish scene

Black metal is pretty much opposite to genres like death or thrash, where its more or less "mandatory" to start with what's considered to be the classics. Don't listen to people telling you to start with Darkthrone, Burzum, Mayhem, Beherit etc. Or Celtic Frost, Bathory or any of the other OGs, cuz that will probably scare you away (well, you listened to both Mayhem AND Burzum, so maybe you're built different, I dunno lol). You'll need something more accessible, and in that regard I'd recommend bands/tracks such as The Kovenant - Sulphur Feast, Dimmu Borgir - Blessings Upon the Throne of Tyranny, Keep of Kalessin - Crown of the Kings, Immortal - One By one, Dissection - Where Dead Angels Lie. THEN you can begin to delve deeper into whats arguably (at least in my opinion) the most interesting metal genre in the world, with bands/tracks such as Emperor - Into the Infinity of Thoughts/I Am the Black Wizards, Satyricon - The Dawn of a New Age/Mother North, Darkthrone - In the Shadow of the Horns/To Walk the Infernal Fields, Mayhem - Freezing Moon/Cursed In Eternity, Burzum - Det Som En Gang Var, Immortal - Unsilent Storms in the North Abyss/Grim And Frostbitten Kingdoms and TONS of others. The genre is ever-expanding, and while all the CLASSICS(!) are from the early to mid 90s, there have been some truly stellar releases all throughout the 2000s, even from Murica.

Plz react to SIRENIA - MERIDIAN! First song of the best Symphonic Gothic metal album ever! It mixes everything strong dark music, gutturals, female vocals and choirs, melody and heavyness. I think you will like it.

The album got a nice drum and guitar sound, but i honestly really don't understand why people think the vocals sound good. Vargs voice in Burzum is so much better.

Now that you have reacted to both Burzum and Mayhem, you should watch the movie "Lords of Chaos". It is a fictional movie based on the actual story of the Norwegian Black Metal scene in the early 90s. Mayhem and Burzum are the most important factors. Other than that they added a girl that never existed the rest of the story is not as far from reality as we would have preferred it to be..
@Punpas2 күн бұрын
The movie has some mistakes, but It's a good movie to get into what happened in the black metal scene nonetheless.
