There are pro’s and cons, if your in a specific percentile..it’s easy online. Which is the opposite in the west ..ya cannot get past the age thing in online dating. Your actually better to online date if ya want a Filipina(as they like slightly older guys) here’s why, 1, you can fully check them out 2, stick to your wants and needs. For instance ..single ..no kids ..educated..(and want I mean by that is professional, I found out that bankers were a good bet, and I’m not talking Bpi Cashiers) if ya were in your home country I would hope ya would not date the poorest youngest uneducated girl right …so think about it.

JJ is spot on about everything. My wife and I have been happily married for 10 years. We met on a free dating site but the next day we exchanged our Facebook info and moved our conversation there. We both had our subscription on Facebook for many years and it gave us both the opportunity to explore each other's past history and friend and family interactions. As far as age gap goes I agree with JJ's point of "what would you talk about.". My wife and I are only 4 years apart .... I like Neil Young, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Led Zeppelin. She likes Elvis and Tina Turner 😂. We both enjoy nature and gardening. Life is good👍

Just got back from 2 month trip, wife's province, plus many tours, and a stay in Manila. Yes, there's 'bubbles' in Manila, but the traffic is so horrendous you can't live in metro Manila. Electricity is so high, no one has AC (except maybe bedroom), so if you're not doing anything you're sitting around sweating. Bathroom facilities mostly consist of a toilet with no tank and a bucket of water. No tp anywhere. Third world poverty, dingy neighborhoods, congestion. Still, miss picking ripe papayas from trees in the yard, someone proudly showing me through their cardboard shack, 1000 of my closest new family members who call me "Uncle Bob."

I would highly suggest the Philippines. First, the people are amazing. Second, the language. Unless, one of the countries you plan on visiting to live, you speak the native tongue. Women are amazing. Of course, you have to be wise!! And it’s fairly cheap, especially in the province. In the province people will greet you all the time!! Just remember no where’s perfect!! And remember the reasons why you moved here. I love how green it is here, I’m always thanking God for allowing me to live in such a beautiful place!!!

I have always liked living in the country and it's the same way in the Philippines where I like the province life but BGC really seems like a great place to live even though I'm not a city person. There really are a lot of good points to living there and so many things to do there. Things are really expensive here in California and to live in the Philippines it's like winning the lottery. Not everything is cheaper in the Philippines but the majority of things are cheaper meaning less expensive. Having a house in Silang, Cavite I'm only about an hour out of Manila and I don't have a house payment. So it's not too bad for me if I ever want to go there.

...great content, also the format and editing kept it moving at a nice pace...I found it most interesting when the discussion turned to filipinas and relationship expectations. JJ indicated the women were looking to be taken care of and will love in return. I personally see that as transactional. JJ defines transactional as a give and take, you understand what they are expecting and they understand what you are expecting in return. That's not unconditional love...unconditional vows are in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer...I make this distinction because some expats try impressing filipinas with an expectation that they cannot actually meet and wonder why it goes sideways after courting is done and the actual relationship begins. Be yourself, understand expectations and what type of relationship this really is and everyone will be ok. Just don't fool yourself or anyone else. You may find unconditional love, but if not, know it for what it is...be it in PH or anywhere else...

Also, I could’t comment in your video about the Top 5 highest paying jobs in the PH so I’m gonna put it here: where did you get the data because it’s waaaay off. There are surgeons here that easily earn millions of pesos a month. And there are other jobs here that can get you in the P400k - P2M range per month salary such as business executives in top companies in media, advertising, tech, telco, fast consumer products etc. That doesn’t even include other opportunities in showbiz, sales, hotels etc and P280k-P150k month for highest paying jobs is waaaay off.

The top salaries you mentioned in the Philippines , e.g. P1M-P2M/mo ($20,000 - $40,000/mo) is enjoyed only by a SELECT few in the Philippines. However, if you have a masters degree in the U.S., a VP/SVP position in a big bank/wall street firm/insurance company, you will earn that kind of money. On average, a quantitative VP in a bank earns $20,000/mo here in the US. I know because I am bank VP with MSc Math (VP of Credit Risk here), and I make over $250,000/yr base. And I work from home.

Folks, Philippines is a favorite retirement/relocation destination for many American/Westerner male expats because of these: 1. so much cheaper cost of living ($2,000/mo will go a long way in the Philippines compare that to being below poverty in the US!!! easy choice!!!) 2. higher female to male ratio 3. easily accessible tropical beaches, islands combined with BGC/Makati options 4. Laid back, less stressful lifestyle 5. Filipinos are very friendly, accomodating, English-speaking, etc. Compare that to what's happening in the US: 1. Increasing crime rate - smash and grab, anti-Asian violence 2. Homelessness 3. Sanctuary cities 4. No bail policies - they release criminals back to the streets 5. ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION border crossing becoming a national disaster 6. Woke , liberal left wing policies 7. high cost of living 8. DEFUNDED police etc etc etc

If your a guy in the Phils its harder but city a little easier, but filipinas do not casual date. After the second or third date they are ready to be exclusive so you do not want to sleep with them and break up. So do sugar daddy until you're ready to settle done with one as lots of single moms and even college girls prefer a SD and mutually beneficial no strings relationship.

The key here should be good Physical Planning and care for the environment. No doubt that BGC, Makati Commercial Center and those exclusive rich subdivisions are very pleasant to the eyes 👀 but other than that most places in the Philippines are not Master Planned and majority violates The National Building Code of the Philippines. Most of the Residences are not squatters but they look like one. The LGUs and The Local Engineering Office allow these bad infrastructures because probably of bribes. Undersized roads which lead to traffic and so many other factors like over population. Urban and Town Planners don’t calculate how much cars would be in the area just like what they’re doing in Singapore. Water consumption of the population. Sewerage or Waste Water Treatment Plant and etc.

I'm considering spending a sabbatical year in BGC. How far is the nearest major university? Also, how expensive is it to secure a part-time driver and household help? Fortunately, my sabbatical pay appears to be quite generous, given the cost of living in BCG. I'd welcome a video devoted to this topic. I suspect that many US academics would be interested in spending their sabbatical in BCG.

Of course if you money is dollar and spent it in the Philippines you can live a very comfy life . But if you live in america and get money from paycheck to paycheck you will not survive. That’s is my plan once i retired im going to Philippines to live. My pension will be enough for me to live.

Just a tip from a filipino watching a KZbin channel, there are a lot of overseas Filipinos watching KZbin about the country and we are more interested in seeing a new developments in our country that we left long time ago than showing poor depressed areas cause we know this is existing due to large growing population.we also hate foreigners watching how they chase filipino women. The savvy expats channel showed us there's a place like bgc existing in the country and some other ultramodern city bubbles.

Foreigners often miss label the Philippines as a third world country, when in fact it's a developing country. There is so much to love here. It's still a work in progress, but it's a beautiful country.

A nice interview & an excellent example of what we might expect in BGC area of Manila. However - extravagance & "brutal heat" is not really my thing. -- Being retired and much less extravagant - I would opt for Tagaytay - and it's cooler - far more comfortable weather - awesome scenery - cleaner air to breathe - & - a much lower cost of living ? + A relaxed laid back more serene environment. -- But I'm an old man - & - ready for such things. -- It is nice to know of his budget and confirmation that I should be good with about $1200 - $1500 / month - for where & somewhat frugal space '''I''' desire. --?--

A Cost of living comparison is interesting but also tricky. It’s only apples to apples if you’re retired or you have a fixed income regardless of where you live. Living in the Philippines is cheaper than the USA, but most people have to give up their jobs to move there . And if you lose your American income it’s no so cheap anymore. So it’s not really fair saying the USA is much more expensive when it also gives the opportunity to make a lot of money.

That's why a lot of expats who go here have a remote job, passive income from their stock market investments, rental or online business. you'll not survive here if you earn filipino salary which is 10 usd only per day, unless you will live like a filipino.

@@snave59 Not many but still a lot. This kid is pretty young too. Also many young expats. People often have passive incomes, online jobs, digital nomads. I would say probably not super young people because they start their career, finish college, so it takes some time until they give up on their lives in the west lol. But many 45+ people go there to live. But there are also a lot of vloggers in their early 30s.
