Hum, we are not sure what the aliens are up to; good or bad, but they want "protection". Their "ship" seems to travel at midnight just fine, so what is keping them here. 🤔 I hope the local hardware store maintains a healthy lightbulb and light fixture inventory! ☺

I feel like the story would be more impactful if you changed the numbers to account for inflation. Leaving a hundred dollar bill on a restaurant table like a boss and throwing around a cool milly for a property doesn’t make the protagonist the big dog he is supposed to be. That’s just normal. And THAT my friends is the real horror.
