Almost from the beginning I had a sinking feeling that the story would involve finding his beloved Adeline, but I have to admit the last thing I expected was that she had been abducted by some type of prehistoric velociraptor! As much as I hate to admit it I’m a senior citizen myself, and the author did a phenomenal job in portraying the inner mind of many of us! We still think of ourselves as 30, no matter how old we get. And when one true love is involved, we still act like we’re 30! What a terrific story with yet another gripping narration by our favorite storyteller!💞

This is by far the best one of these I've ever heard. I haven't heard too many "creepy pastas" maybe 70 ish so far. I'm an extreme cat lover I foster nearly a dozen ATM (12 at my house 4 kittens and 8 adults including 2 pregnant strays i need to get fixed) I'm also an obsessive lovecraft fan and love horror stories involving cats especially when cats are clearly granted the reverence they deserve, with people who know how to bond/communicate with them they form bonds stronger than or equal to that of canines ( I have an 11 yr old lab I love them too)
@theladyinblack30552 жыл бұрын
This popped up after I’d finished one of Swamp Dweller’s vids and I was lured in by the cat in the title. I have a few more cats than you, but I probably have more room for them too as we live on a hobby farm with barns and other outbuildings. We have some in the house too and right now we’re using the sunroom as a nursery, since it’s kitten season. It’s a good place for the more feral cats, as well as the friendly ones who were obviously dumped out here by their owners - we get a lot of those! 😿😿💔 - it keeps them all safe and warm, and we have 2 Mummies with their litters in there at the moment. We just feed anyone who shows up and they’ve accumulated over the years. We were getting them all spayed and neutered until Covid hit and interrupted our plans, and we’ve only just started again, so hopefully we’ll slow the population growth again!! Anyway, I’m rambling off topic! 🙀😉 I wasn’t certain where the story was going until I learned the old gentleman’s wife was dead. I wasn’t sure what had killed her, but I knew the cat knew, and I was eager to find out!! I was surprised to learn that it was a bird. I can’t think of any large birds except for Thunderbirds and Phoenixes, neither of which are malevolent, so I’m at a loss for what this is. But a good, entertaining story nonetheless!!
@miskatonicuniversityavclub2022 жыл бұрын
@@theladyinblack3055 thats amazing, not enough people help cats out. Yeah definitely more room I live in a 2 bedroom trailer with 9 litter boxes I'm going a little crazy we have slowly ended up out of our depth. But I am working on getting a new place with more room, in a perfect world I have a huge farm property and can build big habitats for as many as I can find. I think the bird in the story is supposed to be supernatural, and humanoid. It was living in a tree house made of human and animal remains and debris. I had to listen a second time to catch all that. Makes it a tad lovecraftian which is also why I liked it so much. The monster is vague and kept in the dark on purpose. So many movies for example make the mistake of showing the monster or ghost or whatever the antagonistic force is, too much and in too good of light. Example (and I despise the conjuring series I hate the couple it's based on because they made a living exploiting naive people) but the nun was ALMOST creepy until you see it in the light lol then it's just a goofy nun lady doing fake wrestling moves on people lol it becomes as slapstick as evil dead 2 imo. But I always have loved cosmic horror best, more realistic and less egotistical
@theladyinblack30552 жыл бұрын
@@miskatonicuniversityavclub2029 litter boxes in a 2 bedroom trailer is a lot!! I hope you do find a bigger place -you truly deserve it looking after all those kitties!! There’s a place called Purradise Ranch in AZ (I think it’s AZ) that is much like you described. I’m not certain if their videos are still up, but they’re amazing. If not on KZbin, then their website. The cats do all the “acting” and the sets are great! What you’ve said about the bird is interesting! I caught that the bones were part of the nest structure, but not the rest. But yeah - sometimes it’s scarier to have to imagine things, rather than showing them outright!

At 49 years of age, my husband of 23 years, was fatally struck on his Harley by a man in a Dodge Ram truck. A man who couldn’t concern himself with stopping at a stop sign. Not an all way stop mind you, but a one way stop at a T. It shocks me now the things that my mind conjured up to do to that man. Horribly grotesque things! After 7 years I have gotten past that ugliness in my soul…. And am happy that I didn’t act on the visions my imagination placed in my minds eye. I did take those visions to paint and canvas… that helped. I really connected to this story. As always impeccable narration! And a 👍to the writer.

I really loved this story. With a lot of creepypastas, it feels like the protagonist is kind of disposable. They’re there, but they’re overshadowed by their fate or whatever situation they’re about to run into, easily replaceable. This guy just felt… so alive. My grandpa’s a lot like him, mid 80’s and sharp in the mind, loved my grandma like hell but she passed some years ago. The monster that took her was cancer, but I have no doubts that if this was their situation , he’d go after what killed her. The protagonist was such a charming character and loved hearing about him and his cat and narration was so nice! Thanks Lighthouse Horror

New subscriber! Great narration I love narrated stories I tend to listen till I fall alseep then hit replay upon awakening so I don't miss the story lol.. This channel has that voice that lulls me right to sleep def not in a boring way either ❤ This story actually pulled at my heart strings because you know things like this really happen. People wonder off in old age never seen or heard from again just for their remains to be found years later in strange places.

Hey there Stephen, you living legend you. I know this is going to be quite the reach but I couldn't help but think of the Stairs and the Doorway / Side Tunnel et al series. Just the physics involved to lift a body, talons, long black feathers. Oh please please please tell me you have a part two of this that features a young man with a scarred face helping gramps and the cat. Cheers Stephen. Lee.

Maybe I should do that with my cat. She keeps running off, and not coming back until you scream your head off outside. Great story, Lighthouse Horror! Always been listening to these! Keep it up!

Did you do it? If yes, Did you see anything special? Does she have a great social life?
@bloodybriars182 жыл бұрын
@@vipahxxx7640 I didn't put a tracker on yet. But her social life is probably hilarious compared to the cat's in the story. :)

You don't do that sort of thing alone. You bring friends. Many friends. And many guns. I can't imagine this man succeeded in his hunt.
