Been following your channel for a long time! You inspire me to live in my vehicle to save cash especially living in San Francisco (I save $1200/mo.) but my Jetta isn't the most ideal space. If you ever were to sell your Toyota, please let me know :). Congrats on the savings and thank you for helping us with the fires

Hey Sam. We really need an update on how you’ve been man! You were able to pull off living in a vehicle and save up for a house right in the nick of time. I doubt we’ll be able to fully do that that way one could’ve done before the rona. You’re the last generation of the successful nomads.

If you're thinking of bugging out of CA, I highly recommend the Wichita area. Great small-town feel for a city with all city stuff you'd need, some of the cheapest real estate in the nation, you could easily find a nice house for 150k and cool small-town ladies who are a bit more normal and grounded than modern women, if you desire that path again.

AC John How are the people in general.
@acjohn69954 жыл бұрын
@@tenminutetokyo2643 The cities are a nice split between red/blue, there's plenty of good food, art, culture in all the smaller cities in America, there are LGBTQ folks in these areas too, and they are a tight community. All the kids who moved to NYC are returning to their hometowns and bringing good food and culture. People are generally less superficial, I find. Their families have lived in a town for generations and they are very down to earth and caring, while in the bigger cities everybody is just going past each-other in transit without building connections. They don't care about fancy cars or showing off, it's just about having a nice house and being a good neighbor. Much more space, greenery, diverse weather, less traffic, slower pace. Folks are very proud of what they have and the city invests heavily in their history, good museums, lots of people doing creative stuff, much easier to write a book or start a band and pay rent compared to NYC or LA. I spend a lot of time hanging out with the Anabaptists in the rural areas, very cool people who don't watch TV and aren't absorbed by shallow modern society.

how is the weather there in Wichita?
@acjohn69954 жыл бұрын
@@6955beniegn Winters aren't terrible like Wisconsin or Canada or something, might get a few inches of snow in a storm, summers are warm and slightly humid, but spring and fall are beautiful. When you get tired of winter, you can take a quick vacation down to florida for a week in January with all the money you save living here.

I’d use that 225k to build like 4 “Tiny homes”. One to live in and the others to rent or use for an Airbnb’s. Boom now you got passive income + your job. Save more invest in real estate. And become rich.

I especially appreciated your note about people on IG portraying car living as munching on avocado toast next to gorgeous sunsets and beaches :) Reality is more like peeing in bottles and shitting in bags in the middle of the night and feeling like a fugitive when you simply try to get some shut eye because it's illegal to sleep in your car in many parts of CA and other states.
