I'm new here. I watched the video and read the comments...it doesn't take a genius to figure out what The Homeless Firefighter is doing. He's taking time to build up enough cash for a down payment on a house. In the meantime, he's living out of his truck when he isn't working. It's like he camps when off duty. After he saves up 140,000 in April, he'll be able to start looking for a home. He eats how he does because he's low carb and taking some supplements he deems healthy for him to continue his strenuous work. He's showing us his off-duty time, camping, hiking, cooking out... and willingly goes without a home to save big bucks. California is expensive, I live here. New Sub.

If we consider where average earnings are spent on, I.e travel, Bill's, home/self maintenance and rent... This displays a poignant philosophy; "Just to be able to eat clean is a luxury for most people..." Ironically eating is the most important thing of all.. By and large, the average households can neither afford time/finance to sustain healthy levels of nutrition. Hmmm.... Makes one wonder, if one is not working for the sole priority of one's health, then what is the working intended for? Hmmm

Most people say they cant live w/o this..Live w/o that...Believe me, you find out real quick how much you can live w/o....And thats ev'ry thing....inc, hot food and baths ev'ry day... @@mikefranks4528 Yeah but what is he really eating though. The only meal where he really truly indulges is the breakfast, which is the most important meal of the day I keep hearing. Wouldn't know not a morning person. The rest was mostly proteins, fruits, fiber, vegetables, supplements, and very little sugar.

What a inspirational guy . We all could learn a thing or to from his way of life. It truly is the small things in life that matter most ...like just eating. We all could eat this good if we choose eating as our primary source

Breakfast and lunch nothing to apologize for, with a French waiter and a tablecloth you could get big bucks for plates of that stuff. The healthy concoctions during the day, well, not so much. But you are in CA so people expect that.

I totally respect you comrad. Even though u sleep in ur truck, i was once homeless for 6months, and slept in my car. Due to bad circumstances. After the first 2weeks of homelessness i found good job. Good money, slept in car saved money for apt. Went to McDonald's to charge phone laptop. Planet fitness all for the reason to shower every morning before work. If was uncomfortable in my dreamy maroon saturn aura xe 08. But i endured! If i had a truck and did it like u do, i might have even save my money instead of moving into an apt. So i say, u are the definition of NORMAL in my book!
