Yo WillyJ! That note you found at like 41 minutes really hit close to home for me. Ive been through some dark times but helped pull me out. I lost both my legs 2 years ago to a horrible accident. I just have a couple of nubs now. It still feels like they are there which is weird. I lost 3 fingers on my right hand because now I use them to walk and i was hand walking through some tall grass and one of my neighbors thought it would be funny to place a small bear trap close to our trailers property line. Then to make matters worse I had to shave half my head because I bought a bad batch of shampoo and got a really bad infection on the top of my head and so I had to use clippers to cut the hair off to allow my head to heal. All that to say that things arent going well right now. Every day is a consant struggle but I know when i climb in to bed at night and put on one of your epic rust videos your chill vibey vibes will help me forgot about all that for a few hours untill i fall asleep. But then I wake up because i suffer from horrible night terrors that only allow me to get a few hours of sleep per night. Anyways Thanks for the uploads WillyJ. You are the man

I just bought a PS5 just so I could learn to play Rust, after watching so many of your adventures. I built the comfiest river house on, under, and over a river's, spring fed waterfall source in Rust. Gorgeous views. It had a fishing deck, a rooftop sunken patio blind with a BBQ, chairs, table and bear rugs, horse troughs in the side yard for my horses, (for turning pumpkins into compost) and a built in motorboat garage/dock with a boat in it that I could motor up and down the river, and on out into the wide open sea. I had just completed the electrical and plumbing for lights, heat, and sprinklers, when I got gang murdered and house looted by an endless boom wielding team, third day of wipe... This is why 70 year old solo players can’t have nice things for very, long, in Rust … 🤪

It's a struggle for older guys on almost all games with PvP. It's so funny though, every time something bad goes wrong they just take it in their stride and laugh about it or are just interested in what's going on, it's never taken personally. Anyways, I was watching youtube the other day and I came up with a video idea. I feel like it could be cool if you made a collaboration between all of the greatest solos in rust such as yourself, aloneintokyo, Hjune, Frost and whoever else would make a Pass The Torch Rust Adventure. It would be where someone would start out solo and play for a day. Then at the end of the day you would bag in the next solo. Unfamiliar with what hacks are out there, but my thought was rubber banding. Server doesn't get his movement inputs and snaps him back a few steps as his client resyncs to the server, but the shots still fire and when they do, they are coming from his old position. Thus, why they hit the ground. Just, with REALLY bad timing.

I love willjums videos because willjum plays rust in such a unique way and it also inspires me when I play rust to try new things out but it's not just him, it's naturally coming across other people's bases that have decayed and what not, as well. Just earlier today, I came across a decayed base that had a small unique part of his base design, in which he used a grenade throwing hole for his airlock/s. Now I've been seeing granade shoots and funnels getting popularised overtime, however only being used for outside of the base and at the front door or exterior of the base in general. To see someone mix it up and make an internal one is just so cool to see and its gave me a future idea, for an experimental base build, in which I want to incorporate in the future over just a square 2 by 2 honeycombed. I want to eventually incorporate every possible feature of farms and ways to counter and use as many strats as possible in a single base build to have an ultimate solo base. As for someone like me, who doesn't really like using ideas others have made as such and not good at building secure bases, I've realised that triangle foundations are better over square foundations and making a circle base before any honeycomb and with some additional counter raid strats/ raid difficulty strats, seems to be the best start so far. TC on furthest triangle from airlock and dividing it from the airlock with a wall, a jump up Infront of the TC triangle just to make it harder to break TC while also allowing me to block TC loot with a window and allowing for a small loot box access under the jump up, save at least 2 or 3 triangles left open to put workbenches in if needed, have 1 foundation lowered to have furnaces in the ground and the last traingle to make it harder to raid aka another door.
