I Lived Like A 1950's Housewife For 24 Hours CHRISTMAS EDITION

For those asking what happened at the cafe, I don't like to publicly speak badly of a business especially because I have a large audience. No matter how we were treated, I do not feel comfortable talking badly about the restaurant. Long story short it had nothing to do with filming, I talked to the owner a while back and asked if I was allowed to film inside and she said I was. When we went into the cafe and explained why we were dressed the way we were, we were not treated kindly. Both Bri and I immediately got up and left. I emailed the owner a week ago to tell her what happened and never heard back from her. At the end of the day, speaking badly of the cafe would do nothing for me and could possibly hurt the business which I would feel terrible doing. If I had a cafe that was vintage looking I'd love visitors to dress up and take their pictures and have a little wall dedicated to it, which stores do in my small town. Being an historic guide for the war of 1812 and dressing as a soldier or Fort wife I totally understand the looks and confusion when I am out in public on a way to a night reenactment battle, but haven't received a bad comment. You guys are so sweet and I wish that we could have a large vintage gathering!

One of my favorite parts about Christmas is watching Christmas movies! I love watching the Rankin Bass ones like Santa Claus is Coming to Town, The Year Without a Santa Claus and Frosty the Snowman. That coat was called a Topper. Every year our mom sister and would have matching Toppers sister dresses and gloves. I still dress in 50 style dresses. I was born in 53 and love the 50s early 60s.
