Her style may be authentic but much of her view of how the 1950s was is a romanticized version. One I love but it's a stretch to say it's authentic and accurate. That said, if it makes her happy I think it's great. I live my life in a similar way but I'm more loosely vintage inspired. I just take what I like and mix it with other styles I enjoy.

Yes I agree. . Not practical for working in the modern world, though. The food in the 1950s was not that good honestly. Very few veggies and they were cooked to oblivion. Some of it was better, though. If she uses lots of plastic, that would not be accurate, either. But I really love her style.

I can’t really blame her. I’m starting to transition my home and even my personal style to be more reminiscent of the 70’s and 80’s. When you have seen what society used to look like vs what it has devolved into now, and the continued decline and decay it’s going down into, it’s easy to want to reject that. Add to it the nostalgia and it’s a win. This is one of those things that really is just someone doing what makes them happiest and truly not hurting anyone with it.
