As its just a sci fi show. Iv hated the 3 specials and that bi regeneration/multi TARDIS, Doctor retirement arc, that doesn't work for me. Im just gonna retcon these specials and pretend when Ncuti turns up in the Christmas special, that hes the next incarnation of Whittakers Doctor. Making him the 14th Doctor. As these specials have been nothing but trash.
