I remember singing everyone of these songs in church, I will meet in the morning still sends chills down my spine when I heard Mom and the other Altos taking the lead in the chorus. Thank God for the Statesmen and Albert Brumley As the statesmen said "I got the corners turned down in that hymn book of mine."

Thanks Steve, as a teen in the 60's I heard the gospel quartets at the All Night sings at Massey Hall in Toronto and loved the messages and southern style quartet singing. I didn't have a singing voice so I learned to play the piano for some local quartets.

Absolutely wonderful...the best album you have found, so far...remembered the words to every one of these songs...from the days of my youth when I was totally involved with gospel music. What a joy...could listen to this all day (and frequently do!). Thank you Steve Krampitz. Remember when "Surely I Will, Lord" came out sung by the Stamps Baxter Quartet, At a concert in my hometown. H.S. school auditorium...standing room only!!!! There were many other outstanding quartets there also.

My grandmother would sing Surely I Will Lord and get in the Spirit and the whole church would be blessed. My dad loves to remember this. She was a praying woman with answered prayers,
