It does not need to be practical. I would be surprised if these cars will do more than a couple of thousand miles per year - if that. I suspect the main use will be to drive to very prestigious parties and the like. The company seem to be moving away from aspirational middle class customers. It's upto them if they wish to move to very low volume/high profit sales. The launch is in Miami for reason.

It’s already happening. Stellantis, VW, BMW are all on the ropes over this manic drive to EV’s. The only winners in this balls up are China. Ok so they’re all EV too but they’re the innovators when it comes to the technology with the batteries ( BYD) and their pricing makes the damn things at least affordable.

I'm with Steve Berry on this. He's right. The market Jag relied on for the past 2 decades have stopped buying Jags (check the sales over the past decade, the numbers are stark). So they're turning their backs on that market (that already turned their backs on Jag anyway) and are looking for new more lucrative ones. That's the market of Premier League footballers and serious high rollers. And they'll do well cos they don't have to sell millions of them.
