For me it was depression and anxiety due to a mental health break-down from chronic stress which destabilised my nervous system, loss of friends, which hijacked my social life and led to isolation, coming face to face with my dark side which led to withdrawal from ppl as well. Overeating due to stress, depression, boredom, loneliness. Food became my source of happiness, comfort, my companion and my best friend. I became a compulsive eater and drinker and I'm the heaviest I've been in my life. I look back at the past four years and at times i feel angry. Angry at everyone and everything that triggered me into this weak broken fat version of myself but I'm praying for healing. Healing that the enemy tries to convince me that I don't deserve because of what I did in the past. Now trying to lose the weight and get my mental health back is HARD. Especially when I'm not in control of my mind. I will go on autopilot and binge eat and drink unconconsiously and once I start, I can't stop. But God will help me

You are not unconsciously eating; you are choosing to eat like that. You are choosing to be depressed and sad. If you write a long paragraph explaining why you are eating the way you are and why your behavior is like that, then you can control what you are doing because you are aware. Get right with GOD he can fix all things!
@missrachelrue4 ай бұрын
Oh sweetie trust me when I say I’ve been there. Similar situation and I gained 65 lbs in a matter of 3 months. Still due to chronic stress (and incessant stressors in my life) it took me 3 years to get the weight off but I did. Commitment to a better and healthier me. It may take a while but for as much as you can control try to at least commit to your goal no matter how long it takes. The time is going to pass you by anyway whether it’s a year, two, three or ten! You want to be able to look back ten years from now and know that you did it rather than ten years from now being in the same place or worse. Keep trying you can get there!!!

When I had gestational diabetes, in order to avoid getting on medication I had to have a stringent diet that was high in protein, moderate in carbs- I was very particular about my carbs, not eating after 8, and getting good sleep. I also walked twice a day: once after lunch and once after dinner. That’s it, never lifted a weight, just walked.I just managed according to my blood sugar and avoided meds, and my weight gain was well managed. I was probably at my leanest and my baby was still big. Goes to show that managing your blood sugar truly has its benefits!! I need to get back to it!

You were SPEAKING to me. I recently quit smoking greens (if you know what I mean 🤭) mainly because I didnt want to inhale tobacco anymore and I dont smoke without my grabba so I just quit all together & since then I have definitely upped my alcohol intake WAYYYY too much. Like multiple times a week EVERY WEEK. I have definitely cut back but still haven’t reached my quitting stage yet but I definitely see the results of my increased alcohol intake (I grew a pudge) especially because my go-to choice of drink is wine (very high in sugars) but I am going to take your advice and give myself grace. I just quit smoking which was a HUGE accomplishment for me. I’ve cut back my alcohol intake and now my next goal is to start intermittent fasting. It is really interesting how there's nothing better than doing your own research. What works for some people doesn't work for others and that's okay. I personally swear by a low carb diet and intermittent fasting - I was able to maintain my dream weight for three years, didn't feel starved or depleted, had zero cravings and all the energy in the world. That will be my go to when I'm done breastfeeding, so I may go back to a healthy weight. While it didn't heal any mental issues 😂 I will day that low carb and fasting will always be the way to go for me. Talking about low carb or fasting to unaware people will attract so much wrath 😂😂😂 I'm like- LOOK AT ME! The proof is in the pudding! But yeah people get mad when they ask you how you did it, and you tell them to give up bread 😂😂😂 I'm glad you're using your platform to share your experience. You look phenomenal!

Yup! Ppl demonize what they don’t understand. Everything is about quick fix for them and all of a sudden they’ll claim you’re lying smh. Anyway, congrats on the baby🤎

Ive been in the gym for almost 2 years but I haven’t been watching what I eat. Now I’m watching what I eat more but I need to do more. Meeting with a nutritionist soon to. This video came at a right time for me

Wow, cool! Thanks for sharing! Im currently 150lbs @5'8", 3 kids, but I'm looking to go down to 145/140, but I'm stilling nursing my 10mo. I can't wait to stop so I can do a 7 day fast. Fasting is life!❤

Yh, no need to rush if you’re nursing. Enjoy and nourish your baby for now. If you can, more so focus on the food choices you make for now rather than fasting. More living/real food vs man made

These are some great tips! I had no clue that the way you break your fast as it relates to eating mattered as much

Okay, this definitely makes a lot of sense. I love intermittent fasting because i naturally dont get hungry until after 3pm. But i haven't been losing just maintaining, so that tells me that i need to incorporate exercising too to be at a deficit.

Yup, if your goal is to lose weight, shock your body a little bit with the exercise or switch up your eating/fasting schedule or both. That’ll def get you out of that plateau
