My heart is broken for you. Your best friend will always be with you, in your heart. I lost my best friend, Lucy, some years back. She was a Pointer mix, a rescue, and the gentlest soul ever. She was my confidante, road partner, and unofficial therapy dog. She helped get me moving and motivatesld after major back surgery. When she died at only 6 yrs old, I was crushed. I created a memory box to hold her collar, a photo, a favorite toy, etc. It really helped. Now, when I look in the box, I can smile and remember her as she was; curious, lively, gentle with children and other pets, alike. I hope you can heal and, maybe, your friend will send you another baby, when you are ready.❤

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know the feeling all to well. I lost my little dog Tobie in 2014. I had to put him to sleep he had cancer. I had him for 15 years, he went everywhere with me and my heart still aches and breaks for him everyday. I pray your heart heals as time goes by, again my condolences. Once they've gotten into your heart and soul it's hard to let them go.

It's very hard. I had two red Doberman Pinschers, my male was 14 years old and my female 9 yrs old and both past away from Wobbler's Disease which affects the neurological system. 7 months apart from each other. I miss them so much and have beautiful memories of them. Awesome dogs!

Absolutely. I don’t remember crying so hard for the loss of my aunt, or even grandparents 😮 than I did for my 15 year old cat being laid to rest. I think, when you have to make a choice to end suffering, you also have some guilt as well, on top of sadness.

This video bring me memories of my own cat. I found her on the street, she was a baby, I took her home, washed her, feed her, took her to the vet, and from that day she was my best companion. She loved to be free, playful and very active around the house. At times she was away for days but she had a hideout inside an old truck my dad had in the yard. One morning my dad decided to turn on that truck and he forgot to check if Chuchú was in there. She got badly hurt, we took her to the vet and the doctor put a cast on her left paw.I took care of her and she recovered well but her left paw was shorter. She found love and became pregnant, when she was due I saw her suffering so I took her to the vet and she had a cesarian. She had two beautiful kittens. She was a very good mother to them. Time pass and the kittens grew and eventually left the house. Chuchú was there for me during my college days, my working days, my wedding day, and when I had my first child. Chuchú had a very active life till the end of her days. She lived for 16 years, and I didn't have any other cat after she departed, she was unique. I still miss her after 22 years...🐈💞

Na adolescência perdi uma espécie da classe dos papagaios (fugiu da minha mão - eu pegava sempre pra beijar) eu chorei por mais de 4 meses ... sem exagero digo isso! Uma vizinha minha, me vendo chorar um dia falou que era exagero já, pelo tempo. É óbvio que JAMAİS ELA ENTENDERİA, desconhecia esse amor grandioso que eu sentia por ele! PS: Além da dor, me culpei muito ... pois foi de minha mão que ele fugiu ... hoje já adulta, me deparo ano passado com uma pena dele que guardei. Quando peguei, cheirei e o choro foi um soluço ( como uma espécie de "grito") seguido de um choro copioso. Eu o perdi há um pouco mais de 20 anos, e mesmo assim essa foi minha reação.

My mom passed away this past Feb 27 at 89 after years battling Alzheimers. 5 days later I had to put my 17 year old cat down. I did not cry for my mom at the time of her death because it was a blessing. But then to lose my Bella, too? It was too much. I cried for days. My two very best friends.
