I Lost My Best Mate 😔 | BM Weekly Ep 58

I’m former military and spent time as a private military contractor so most folk think that have the emotion of a house brick. 2.5 years ago I said good bye to my best friend Charlie, a huge black Lab with the soul of a lion. He had a very aggressive form of cancer in his nose which spread down to his mouth. I would like to think that I did everything I could to save him and, when I realised nothing was going to work, gave him the best possible end to his life that I could. I am lucky in that my next door neighbour is a Vet and said that he would be on call for Charlie any time night or day. I watched my 44kg buddy loose weight until he was down to 28kg. He was sleeping more and more and one Sunday morning I looked at him, he looked at me and I could tell that it was time. He went to sleep on his favourite bed in the kitchen next to the Aga with me holding his paw.. It was the hardest day of my life and I still cry whenever I think about that day. Been through the same, had two close buddies die in the last 5 years of cancer. You do whatever it takes and in the end, it's never enough. Someone once said that the only fault dogs have is they don't live long enough.... Sorry for your loss.

Came on to get my weekly fix , saw a comment that their was a montage to Bash at the end. I fast forwarded to the end to watch it and the 56 yr old man that I am started to cry and I’m still upset typing this. What is with dogs. I got my first dog 3 1/2 years ago and the thought of anyone losing a dog just makes me so sad. Look after tugboat. Give him a big hug from me.

Sorry for your lose. It's hard losing a dog-best friend. We lost a family dog due to kidney failure we'd just moved to a new house with a rather large garden and the only thing we could put it down to was possibly a rat bite as he had disturbed something under a shed

Sorry about poor Bashkim Joe, its hard when you loose your four legged friend, we lost ours 5 years ago and we still miss him, not being there to greet you when you get home from work, it does get easier with time though. RIP BASHKIM.

Some people that don't or haven't had dogs will never know what it's like to loose one, the saying it's like loosing a Family member, to me it was like loosing a limb when i lost my German Sheperd. So sorry for you loss Joe, feeling it for ya mate.

^^ this ^^ As a 67YO church organist, I've been playing for funerals for around 53 years. They rarely moved me. FFS - I even remained utterly composed at my own Mum's funeral (she was 89). Yet the end of this video literally moved me to tears. Condolences and also prayers, Joe. RIP Bash.

Sorry to hear about Bash. Absolutely heartbreaking for the family. Thank you for all your efforts creating these videos. They keep us all entertained and it’s educational for us who are not in the motor trade to see how hard the business can be sometimes. It has also educated me regarding my rights as a customer and shows how important it is for us all to buy wisely by doing our research before we buy and have realistic expectations from a second hand car. What a proper superhero Bash really was Joe...So sorry to hear of his passing and you're spot on when you say they become you're best mate...I lost my Jack Russell Archie about 4.5yrs ago and it took me 3 years till I could get another dog as his passing hit me so hard and I didn't just want to replace him with another dog as soon as he'd passed out of respect...Frank the Tank is 18mths old now and I luv him dearly...❤️ Tugboat will miss his pal dearly as will u but he will help fill that void that Bash has sadly left in all your lives... That’s the absolute base spec Jogger. The ‘media control’ flap is just a space to hold your phone in landscape. You then install a Dacia app to control the radio etc. I’ve got the top spec ‘Extreme’ version that has the touchscreen where the flap is. Love the content. Keep it coming 👍🏻
