It always is, a lot of us who may have been great never got the chance to race, at least not on the track. I once asked my uncle Jim Jarrett why he didn't get into racing like his younger brother Ned did, and he replied, "I never had the opportunity. Ned about broke the whole Jarrett family getting into racing." Uncle Jim had a much more important, crucial, and essential driving job though: He was a career trucker.

I don't follow the cars tour or these drivers too much, but racing at the higher levels is almost specifically about the money. I was listening to Dale Jr Podcast and there was some marketing guy in there talking about how kids at a very young age need to make a social media following. Then he started bragging about people like Deegan and Toni Breidinger. The truth is I see the highest levels of nascar (down the road) essentially being social media type stars and far less to do with the best actual drivers. Sadly, it's gonna kill the sport, but hopefully those fans look at lower level series and support the more hometown/local drivers that can actually wheel.

First off kudos to you for staying positive and finishing out the season for Nelson. I would have to say it would be difficult for me to finish the season for them if they didn’t want me next year. Especially for free! But with your talents and personality you will have other opportunities I’m certain.
