I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my father to leukemia in 2004 when he was 69. My mother is also suffering from memory loss and is in a facility in Virginia so I can understand your struggles with that. I look forward to your vlogmas series and other videos. I also live in Phoenix and pray for peace for you and your family.

Hello fellow Phoenician. I’m sorry. He was so young. That must be hard for you with the distance. But I’m glad she is in a good place. It makes all the difference.

Thanks for sharing and being so vulnerable Cherie. Since I went thru something similar last year, it helps knowing others know what it's like. It's so hard losing a parent. But I love how you tie in the healing side to having a peaceful, organized home. It's so true!

Oh my gosh, Cherie, THANK YOU for your raw openness... I really appreciate you opening up and sharing your heart with us. So much on the internet is either "picture perfect" life or meanness. Yet you capture so beautifully the grief we've all felt with the loss of a close loved one. Thank you. Peace be with you. ❤

Thank you, Rena. I appreciate what you’ve said here. I couldn’t have shared without your listening ear and encouragement. Sometimes we need a big group hug on the internet. Many of us go through similar things. And we just need someone to sit with us.

Wow❤😮 I came to offer my condolences to you and your family. I am sorry for your loss and you will be in my prayers. But your statement on your home being your sanctuary really stuck a cord with me. As I look around my home it looks like a chaotic Christmas mess, not a single space feels like a sanctuary. You are right a home should be a place of peace. Thank you for giving to us during a most trying and difficult moment. Your son looks like his grandfather. Sending Love❤❤❤❤

Hi friend. Thank you. I appreciate your support. Thanks for sharing your response/reaction to “sanctuary”. It is valuable feedback actually. And thanks for saying my son looks like my dad. We have a photo of them side by side around the same age. The similarities are undeniable 😊

My family and I are very sorry for your loss. My mom passed on with lung CA and it will be 10 years this coming March. The pain and grief is always there. I am the eldest of 3 and my siblings only have me as their “parent “. We are always asking for guidance from our parents. You are lucky you still have your mom with you. Always cherish her and I’m sure you always do. Just think your dad’s pain has ended and you will see him again in God’s perfect time❤️

I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss. I lost my dad to lung cancer and the pain of that loss is always with me. Grief is hard to navigate and I still have bad days where it is overwhelming. I miss him terribly. But I know it is because love doesn’t end when life ends and I am grateful God blessed me with an amazing father and I know you are too. My prayers are with you. 🙏

I’m so sorry, Tricia. This has been a hard couple of years for you. May you continue to find guidance with your loss and with your mom’s health. I have had a short breather but now I’m finding guidance in handling her memory loss. At times it makes me sad. But I want to embrace what she remembers now and navigate that with her. Hugs to you 💕

I'm so sorry for the loss of your father. I have been wanting to comment when you first posted this...but it was too difficult. I lost my Mom to dementia in September...3 months ago. I've not been active on social media for well over a year. Occasionally, I'd log on and try to watch some videos, comment every so often, but I my sister and I were consumed with Mom's care, and it does take a physical and emotional toll as you mentioned. My mom and I talked about end of life decisions, prior to when she got too diabilitated to make decisions. I'm an RN, who specialized in Dementia. My last position was as the Executive Director of an Assisted Living Facility which included a locked unit. I include this only to say, being an expert in something didn't transfer when I was dealing with my Mom. Your father was a brave, altruistic, man, who did not want burden his wife, and children. He kept it to himself. He fought to the end and hung in there so that all of his children could say goodbye to him. You, Cheri, were a caring, loving daughter who was at times caring for both of your parents, while fulfilling commitments to your employer, your children, and celebrating milestones with your son. Please allow yourself to rest. Remember, grief comes in waves, and the only way out is through. Blessings to you and your family. 🕊️🕊️🕊️

So sorry for your loss. I just found your channel and your video touched me. My partner has recently found out that he has prostate cancer with metastases, and I am grateful to you for sharing your experiences with your dad. Also my parents are getting older and I'm thinking of moving to be closer to them to spend more time with them. I hope I will be able to be as caring and helpful as you have been. ❤

I know there's nothing that I can say to help ease Your pain, but I am so sorry for your loss. To lose the first Man you ever knew is the hardest thing to accept, so I definitely know the pain that you're going through, I lost my dad as well, but The Most High and time had helped ease the pain. I will be praying for You and your Family!
