As someone who works with Special Olympics athletes, I would like to add that some disabilities make it nearly impossible to lose weight. For those that could change it, I agree that they should try to work on their weight if it is that big of an issue to them. Not everyone could just "put in the effort" and stay healthy. Being overweight isn't always just a lack of exercise and a bad diet, some people genuinely can't lose weight due to disabilities they have had from birth.

Guys do you know what? Eating is a privilege. Some people are paralyzed from the neck down and can't even taste the food they consume because its making a b-line to the stomach via a feeding tube. So we should ALL either starve or just inject nutritious paste into our acid tanks to get the energy we depend on. Just my take to make the place we live in a little more equal.

If you’re fat, don’t blame everything around you. Get your lazy butt off the couch and go exercise. Love your videos! But one thing, at 1:30, as a thicker student, I personally work out, I go on 20-minute jogs on a treadmill during study halls in my high school whenever I can, but it's still difficult for me to sit in certain chairs due to how my body is. So just because you exercise doesn't mean that's why you're skinny. In my family, all of my mom's side of the family's females are thicker meaning I get my thickness from genetics.
@superemoboi20503 жыл бұрын
Listen, I'm a fat person, and yeah it sucks when I can't fit in a chair, but I'm not going to call myself "oppressed" over it. It's not like people are going out of their way to make chairs that fat people can't use. People tend to throw around the word "oppressed" like it's nothing. Oppression is things like racism and bigotry, not having smaller chairs. I realize not everyone can just jump up and hit the gym. I, for instance, have a disability that makes it difficult for me to exercise, but I know I still need to exercise. And I _do_ exercise. It's all about trying to be healthy, no matter what size you are. I don't think people should be made fun of for their weight, whether they be fat or skinny, but I'm not going to call it "oppression".

People probably aren’t gonna like this but just because someone isn’t skinny doesn’t mean they’re unhealthy. Health can’t be judged by weight alone and unless you know all the person’s medical details you can’t say they’re unhealthy just by looking. (BMI isn’t a good indication of health either) Plus, not everyone can lose weight, there’s other things to consider like eating disorders, genetics, illnesses, or other conditions that all contribute to someone’s weight. Working out won’t make you suddenly be skinny either, there are people who work out all the time and are perfectly physically healthy but people still look at them and think ‘fat’. It’s one thing not to care about your health at all and live in a way you know isn’t good for you, but most of the people that get called fat and lazy are actually perfectly fine! There’s nothing wrong with not being skinny unless it’s hurting your body :) edit: oo wow i write a whole paragraph sorry lol

Alright love the video. It’s funny how stupid that argument is. However just wanted to mention, most “fat” people are actually trying really hard to lose weight and can’t. It’s not a “lifestyle” or a “choice” for most. It’s not just about junk food and laziness and I feel bad that your just kinda like: “well thats your fault just stop being fat”. Anyways cool vid

Yes, I agree there's some ppl that being fat bcz of health issue. But some ppl just using that reason for getting support of their laziness for example: nicocado avocado. That's kind of 'fat' that shouldn't be trend. Everything that too much never been better.

i think that people should be more considerate of people who have depression. yeah, you can and its not that much of a privilege to exercise, and eat well, but some people with depression cant even take care of themselves, neither can people with anxiety, some people with anxiety eat too much because of their disorder. or people with ptsd, its a trauma response to eat too much too, and dont just tell me "well. you should be working harder to get out of your depression/ptsd/anxiety!!" things like ptsd cant even go away. and depression does, but its a long long process. sometimes we dont choose to be fat. i think its a factor that not so many people take in consideration.

So, is hygiene suddenly oppressive because my skin is sensitive and I can't use the soap sold in my country since it gives me allergy? Just take care of yourself. Trust me, I am aware junk food in US is pretty cheap, but that is more expensive in the long run. If you're aware you should take extra care of yourself, you have to.
