I hope some "city folk" watch your vids and see how much hard work ranching is. I can very much appreciate all that you do. The snow really makes it even harder, but it's just part of the deal. You guys have a nice operation, keep up the good work. 👍👍👍

Y'all have a nice operation Cole. You do work hard and deserve whatever you can get. I was proud to see Ellie snug as a bug in her bed. Shearing bolts is no picnic, but you repaired them very rapidly which should indicate to your dad that you do indeed deserve a raise.

Just a little idea I saw a couple of time in a couple of Feedlots in Alberta where they had so much trouble sorting cattle and did something about it, They made theyre sorting gates are power by hydrolic rams the hoses are buries under ground so the cattle cant wreck up only emerge at the gate where the hoses are hooked up to the rams that open and close the gates usually one guy is all thats need just looks at the cows and opens the gate to the pen he wants and thats where shes and then shuts it till the next one has to go there

Just a FYI - when you didn't eat for awhile, your blood sugar level dropped. One of the symptoms of low blood sugar is irritability. So your poor temperament and frustration was not your fault. It's a good excuse to use when you lose it and it is supported by science. 😊👍

We use our bucket when we move snow it is way more easy then a snow blower
@GunsmithLC4 жыл бұрын
I do both - depending on where the snow is and which direction the wind's blowing.. I've never sheared a blower pin yet, but the tractor I use is a bit less than the blower can take, so the tractor 'talks' to me when it's time to slow down the directional speed..

Breaking shear bolts usually means you're pushing the equipment too hard ...ease up on the ground speed... slower yes but you don't stop being broke down.
@SonneFarms4 жыл бұрын
Yea I wish I could slow down. I was in the lowest gear. An IVT transmission would be nice for this job

Looks like you won't have to go to the gym tonight. In wet snow, you might try spraying some Pam on the blower. I only used my blower once this year, but, it did seem to help. Have you heard of the carnivore diet? If it catches on, cattle might be pretty profitable.

I watch the video I gave you a thumbs-up I thought it was a good video . Why not use a bucket on the tractor remove the snow . Or used the Herald you drag behind the tractor just to break the snow up. Then use the snowblower I grew up on a farm and I always thought my father should give me more money I never realized he would give me the farm whatever he's paying you don't squawk about I'm sure at the end you'll have it all. I know you only kidding around. Thank you 👍🇺🇸

So don't "decide" to get frustrated. See things differently--count your blessings so much you have no time to think that way. Things happen to EVERYBODY. Learn and move on. Life is exactly the way we see it. See it as perfect and it is. Bless you. Namaste BTW, animals can feel intention and do not run if you do not chase. Approach friendly and slow and in the end it's easier. Our behavior is energetic... animals instinctually respond to your emotions. We humans can learn from animals.
@raerae22534 жыл бұрын
Not all animals are the same. Some cows are chill, some cows see you 100 yards away and bolt. It's not as easy as you think lol
@raerae22534 жыл бұрын
@@timberwolfpowler8747 that's all well and good in theory but I have a couple cows that will prove it wrong I am afraid. I wish it was that easy. But yes your attitude and approach really matters and does work 90% of the time.
