It's possible your ears just can't wear earbuds. I have that problem with my left ear. Even when I wear foam ear plugs while sleeping, my left ear is harder to fit. Maybe try something that hooks onto the ear lobe as well.

Carlie, every time you point out some flaw in your body in front of Cooper, it changes who he is. You may not even notice you're doing it, but every time you say, "Augh, I look scruffy!" or "Oh, no, I'm breaking out!" it all adds up and gives him (or the other kids) a message about self-perception and self-love. I grew up watching my mother scrutinising herself in the mirror, putting herself down, picking out flaws all the time, and trust me, it had a huge affect on me. My body image is horrific, and I was diagnosed with BDD a few years back. I'm not saying this is Cooper's fate at all! Just that you could be more mindful of the negativity you might pass on without realising. It's so sweet that he says you're beautiful (you are!), but I can imagine he feels the pressure to boost your confidence if you're always so down on yourself.
