I Love My Shimano Vanford C5000XG

I've just got to give a big shout-out to Shimano until all of my buddies that this real is absolutely awesome and I love it and if you're thinking about getting one you should totally go for it. And I only send my reels to the Shimano service center because I believe I get the best quality service there and I think you should too. I am not getting any payment or compensation for this statement I just simply want to give credit where credit is due. Thank you Edward from @Hook2Cook for turning me onto this reel.

Its a fantastic reel for the price. Just have to be careful not get dunked or dropped in the sand. If there was only one reel I can choose for casting all day it would definitely bee the Shimano stradic/vanfords. Good to know about the proper way to clean the reel though have always just showered with it as well.

I tried by friends Stradic today and it felt great. I’ll definitely compare these two models before my next purchase.

Love the Vanford! I’ve got 3 of them but I only use them for fresh water. I use the Spheros SW for salt.
