The best or maybe the saddest part about this episode is that Nami would have 1000% accepted the letter from this little girl.
@TheLawmicjho2 ай бұрын
I could picture it that she would have it taped to her navigator map writing desk or on the wall in front of it
@alastorcorvusАй бұрын
yeah, Nami is the big sister of the group and has a soft spot for children. That said, I think is more impactful that she never got the letter, the girl was just content to watch Nami be free and set sail with her crew and the fact that she indirectly saved the Thousand sunny from the secret weapon is even more meaninful than just giving her a letter.
@kyuubinaruto872 ай бұрын
Something that I haven't seen anyone mention. Usopp told the little girl to say she's "waiting for someone" and what's interesting about that is that Usopp first metup with Nami after the timeskip. In the bar where Nami was waiting, she said she was "waiting for someone." Basically, Usopp told her to say the same phrase Nami ended up saying. Something small but pretty cool. Also yeah, he's still Sogeking on his poster.

It’s easy to say that your Luffys, Sakazukis, Dragons, and Blackbeards are these larger than life figures, but seeing just how much they impact the lives of normal people is eye opening. Like, how many times have you seen marines go, “Yo! That’s Dark King Rayleigh over there! Fight him?! You crazy? Nah, I’m going around!” Usually we just see the marines who are giving their best Skyrim bandit impressions, not acting like rational individuals.

Experiencing the same things that they are. How much one person can inspire someone is amazing, and every single time I see any animation as an artist, I just get inspired to one day hopefully strive to be just as good as them and I hope the one day makes something even half or even just as good as this short. This honestly deserves an Oscar man. In the final touch being the girl copying the straw hats as they set sail was just so powerful. Absolutely beautiful.

This was such an emotional episode for me. This girl is literally me. I started watching One Piece a short time after it started in 1999. I was 13 at the time just like this girl was pre timeskip. I was somewhat lukewarm to it but as soon as Nami was properly introduced I instantly became more interested. Ever since then I have idolized Nami as a role model and feel like watching her during my teenage years had a major influence on my personality. And I am sure I am not alone in this feeling. She literally used almost the exact same words I have used in describing why I love Nami. That instead of crazy strength or an over powered devil fruit she relies on cunning and intelligence to survive. Hearing this girl voice my very same sentiments on my computer screen brought a tear to my eye. The finale where she finally sees her childhood idol in the flesh, had me crying so much I had to pause the video.

This fan letter is for the one piece fan that Wit Studio will show how much they can greater the animation of the one piece remake and Toei will come back in April 2025 to improve the animation of the final saga

Im going to tell u right now that wit will not reach these peaks they don’t have the raw talent that toei has when it comes to animators and of course Megumi Ishitani

@@KurinKato1don’t be so sure of that. People learn,people improve. There will be always someone better in a given time.

@@serenityml1810 Not how it works man. Producers and connections are how u get top tier talent. As of now wit staff doesn’t have the pull to get deep amount talented animatiors toei has and frankly a lot of them aren’t interested and would rather work on the toei version with people they are familiar with and also toei has some of the best work conditions and scheduling

This was beautiful. Beautiful interconnected stories. The brother’s story made me so emotional. Something about brotherhood just got me. The younger brother screaming for his older brother; not calling him to be saved, but to see if he was ok, and then when he saw he was able to move, he just told his big brother to run away and leave him. The big brother barely surviving what was a hopeless situation and naturally being terrified of the destruction taking place. He was going to run away and abandon his brother out of fear until he heard Luffy shout, and it resonated with him so much. The big brother may not like his younger brother, but he loves him, and was willing to die for him. The younger brother may pick on his big brother, but he loves him, and was willing to die for him. Both brothers fought back-to-back and managed to survive that nightmare all thanks to the determination of Luffy fighting for his own brother. The paramount war from the perspective of a regular marine was horrific.

So this is based on a series of short stories about people whose lives have been impacted by the Straw Hats. The only ones not shown are Sanji’s wherein he helps the son of his Impostor in the Fake Straw Hat Pirates and said Impostor has a newfound respect for the OG, and Usopp’s whom I forget offhand but you can probably guess that it’s Sogeking related. Obviously wouldn’t really fit with all that was going on in this plot. Either way, gives me hope that the Heroines short stories plus the Law and Ace novels get this same treatment because man, it’s so good. Also Mayumi Tanaka using her Obahan Luffy voice yet again for this special. And that ending, as if We Are couldn’t get any better. Maybe we’ll hear the full version in the Episode of Fishman Island.
