@@ngankim1806 it isn't canon bcz the Novel isn't canon, and Ishitani has already mentioned that the fan letter does not influence OP world in any way. Plus you can tell it's not canon, bcz we didn't get any name for the main characters during the entire episode.

@@Piyush17Kumar but to be fair it fully could be, its not like the story is completely different its just different perspective
@Piyush17Kumar2 ай бұрын
@@Naviglio yeah no no, it obviously could be, I don't think Oda currently have that much leeway, when his hands are full of the Final Saga cooking, if he wants, he definitely can say that yeah its a part of OP world, but it wouldn't matter bcz it can no way influence the Final war in any way possible. Think about it, Oda has said that Uta is canon, though she has one of the more powerful ability Paramecia DF, he after so many chapters has only made a blacked out silhouette of her's. Same with, Shiki was a canon character nearly a decade ago, whose still alive, and up until the recent few chapters, that powerful of a character has only 1-2 panels as a background drawing. I honestly think Oda has bitten too much than he can chew, bcz there's just too many things to deal with, just a few to mention which hold relevance to the story, Buccaneers Race, Lunarian Race, Three-Eyed Tribe Race, Florian Triangle Monster, Imu, God's Knights, Red Line, Laugh Tale, JoyBoy and his crew, the Ancient Kingdom, fulfilment of every StrawHats dreams, Blackbeard's past, useless Dragon, Ancient Weapons, the secret of DF how BB consumed more than 1, then all of these factors clashing all together, then probably ShanksVSLuffy and KobyVSLuffy, the chase for One Piece, all while infos related to God Valley, Ancient War and Rocks D. Xebec like powerful characters, and currently the strongest force in the world the Giants which judging by the few chapters released on Elbaph, it seems like atleast 70chapters. THERE'S JUST TOO MANY THINGS ODA HAS LEFT UNANSWERED, I'm not complaining about its longevity, but I fear the deterioration of Oda's health which he's already been suffering from since the past few years.. and after all these remaining, you think Fan Letter characters have any relevance, I'm grateful for Megumi Ishitani for making it from a new perspective, giving Oda's world building a new light, but that doesn't rectify it to be true; in the end, question will still stand, that do we even care if Fan Letter turns out to be canon.

The fact that it's just a little story about a fan letter that acts as an amazing letter to the fans, man. The absolute love and attention to detail put into this was superb. The people who worked on this obviously love the world of One Piece as much as we do, because they really breathed life into this special world. 11/10, literally so peak. I especially love how they incorporated little moments with the Straw Hats as more of background characters, really illustrating the swapped perspective. This includes the credits where we get shots of the Straw Hats and we see the main characters from the fan letter in the shots.
