Hey Chris, greatly appreciate this comment. I'll be honest, there's only so much my videos can do for you. Hopefully, it is helpful. But NOTHING beats time on the water and figuring it out for yourself. I wouldn't be surprised if you figured it out and it was different from how I do it. That's the beauty of fishing. Where and what size is those clear plastic tubes you use to store your lures? Love the idea.. it really save lots of space and very safe way to bring few out without bringing a Plano box…

The rock fishing has been amazing, I don’t understand why the surf has been so slow this year… I have had a few local anglers hook up on STRIPED bass here in SoCal, Oceanside specifically… Tons of bait in the water too 🍻

Hey Benjie, I fish the Texas rig as well, but I use tungsten weights, smaller profile. They can get pricey, but I like the trade off.

Thanks for the vid. I used to catch a ton of fish in Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties off a kayak. Moved down here several years ago and have tried surf fishing south OC for the last couple months. All I have come up with is getting skunked or tiny perch. Any advice? Getting ready to call it quits and just go out when visiting up north, which will probably be never.

LA is awesome James. Pick any beach In El Segundo from Redondo through Dockweiler and up through Manhattan. All your usual surf critters from perch, corbina, yellowfin croaker, and halibut.
