Hi Nicky, love your videos and recipes! We live and work in Dubai but previously lived in Hong Kong and Malaysia. I fell in love with the beef, ginger and onion dish, but can’t find a good one here for love nor money. If you have a recipe, we’d love to see and try it! Cheers.

The wok looked crowded, but it’s still good technique because you removed the beef before cooking the veggies. The beef was nicely browned.

Yes it was boarding on too much beef for the wok. If i was cooking for more than just my family of 4 then I'd probably fry it off in batches.
@misterhat58233 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps two or three batches would be better.

Great recipie but I think your dried chillies used does not look like it is schechuan chillies , the diff between normal dried chillies and schechuan is the drying process. I have this in my cupboard , I will try your recipes I think it’s amazing ! My Chinese friend said if you use normal dried chillies it not the same has to be a schechuan chillies, your dish gave me the idea that I should use the schechuan chillies in my cupboard . I’ll give it a try thank you .

Looks nice! Please don't add sesame oil in and then cook on a high heat, it's generally meant to go in at the end to season as it loses its taste the longer you cook it :)

I've been watching a lot of Chinese cooking videos lately - and the thing they do to tenderize the steak is to add half a teaspoon of baking soda and a teaspoon of cornstarch to the marinade, leaving it for 10 - 15 minutes before stir frying.
