Very very dope Rig and video I appreciate your content and the information provided in there, my question is how do you prevent ground loop when plugging your monitor in the V Mount battery and not burning up the HDMI port
@dbalwani4 жыл бұрын
Nice rig and great explanation. Is there specific reason that you are using NP-F battery in the video but mention powering it via V-Mount or V-mount plate? I have heard horror stories of people burning out their HDMI port when powered by same V-mount battery both camera and monitor?

*We can solve wobbling between speedbooster and camera mount with adaper support, but Is it reasonable to spend a bit more buying Metabones T CINE Speed Booster XL 0.64x with locking mechanism (to avoid any wobbling between heavy lenses, such as Xeen and the speedbooster) over the regular version?*

EF lenses have a higher compatibility with most flange distances so safer to get EF even if only using Sony E mount or other camera mounting options.

Nice rig! One question: I see in the b-roll footage that you are powering your ninja with the v mount battery. Could you let me know what is the best fact cable you’re using? Tired of all those batteries on the camera and would love to find a better solution with only one battery powering everything on my rig. Thanks in advance...

I LOVE this rig. Looks so sick. One question: how much does not being able to access the menu system easily affect you on shoots? I would imagine you have most of your essentials programmed to function buttons, but I’m sure it’s still a pain. Do you have a work around for that?

You can also mod the monitor to pop out & tilt. Tilta offers the DIY mod or you mail in the cam so they can do it for a fee.
@2gunzfilms4254 жыл бұрын
honestly I never even bother with the screen beyond initial setup. I use Cine DS lenses for all my aperture settings and the ISO button is there along with a wheel. Most of the stuff you want to do can be done with the buttons and the scroll wheel, and it's actually quicker in most cases than trying to use the screen for it. A great workaround to that though, instead of buying an Atomos or Smallrig monitor, just get the Blackmagic monitor. you'll retain touch screen function in your external monitor. Also as some say, you can always just use the app. It works just as effectively.

Have you ever delt with a cinema lens shifting when using a wireless follow focus on the bmpcc pockets and if so how did you fix it? I have a 6k pro
@RedBellyMedia Жыл бұрын
best way to fix this is use a matte box that clamps onto the lens. you can then use a lens support mount connected to the rails and into the matte box. this holds the lens in place.

Watch Gerald Undone and Tom Antos reviews on Z cam 6k. If you want to shoot raw, there appears to be issues with zcam, whereas Braw is excellent (I have BMPCC6k - very happy). If you want to shoot pro res and want full frame, Zcam (raw may improve with firmware updates over time - I have no personal experience with z cam). Where both cameras seem to be excellent 'budget' (relative) offerings, each come with certain trade-offs. It depends on your requirements and workflow, really...

I prefer the pocket4k over the 6k. I dont want to shoot 6k all the time. My comp cant handle it well and theres no need all the time. When shooting lower res it simply crops in on sensor instead of resampling. Not a fan of that. Also the 6k has terrible rolling shutter. Imo the rolling shutter makes it unable. I watched someone getting a dolly shot on a onewheel and the vertical pillars of the parking deck were angled at like 30degrees because of the rolling shutter. Not very cinematic
