Or someone has been stealing his motion cameras, so he does not leave them sitting outdoors anymore. He lives in Oregon, after all. Look at Portland's crime rate rise in the last 4 years.

Huh, my comment was deleted. I was saying that it's possible his motion cameras get stolen when he leaves them in the wilderness, so he stopped since they're expensive. My comment getting deleted gives me mixed thoughts about this.

My mice are "trap wise" and won't eat peanut butter or cheese. They also avoid eating several kinds of poison baits. Sticky pads have had limited success. Any suggestions?

It looks like you have to open the top wire hatch to get the mouse out, either that way or to open the door it came in. I don't wanna stick my fingers in there with Mr. Mouse.

Your mice up there in Oregon are twice the size of the ones we have here lately. they'd be too light to set off a trap like that. Got anything adjustable? thanks for all your ideas!

@ShawnWoodsMousetrapMonday - i did not see any videos for using peppermint candles, reed diffusers, wax warmers, essential oil warmers, or a red light to see if any of these would repel mice. If you have not tried any of these things, would you be willing to try any of them? Thank you for your time.

When you catch a mouse with a live catch trap so that it lives but because it’s invasive so you have to kill it anyway.

Meh. There's so many choices, why set up a single-catch trap? If you're catching mice, you "Gotta Catch 'Em All".

It's good for cases where you need to catch a single mouse, or maybe 2 or the course of a few days. Any times I've had a mouse, it was a single mouse. Yea obviously not the most effective for his barn or a farmhouse or whatever, which is why he has posted a lot of bucket traps and even invented his own. Turns out, in a house, say... the kitchen maybe, this takes up a lot less room than a 5 gallon bucket filled with water, or most other multi-catch traps. Also some of the smaller multi-catch traps are too cramped causing the mice to kill / eat each other, which a lot of people don't want to deal with.

There is a FLAW in the design. A clever mouse will climb up and tip it over on its side and the door is unlocked. You should add a weight to pre-un-balance the cage and film it. . . . . . . . just how do you humanely dispatch such a creature? .44/laser/blowtorch/Samsung Note 7?

They (mice and rats) do not sweat, so the extra skin surface on the tail helps regulate body heat. Tails are also used for balance, a little bit like a monkey but not as agile.
