You make everything look so easy! I would have to put up a 'do not disturb' sign on my sewing room door and meals delivered to do this one, all those angles would be a challenge for me, lol. 🙃 Thanks for another great tutorial Donna, and thanks to your Son for the filming. editing and all that goes into the videos, much appreciated!

I am a HUGE Robin Pickens fan and have a number of her patterns (yet to be made). This was on my list but I have to admit that even with Donna's generous sharing of methods it still intimidates me a little. Might purchase the pattern and add it to my "stable" of patterns to be made when I have more experience. LOVED this video. THANK YOU DONNA!!

Good morning to Donna and all the "Jordan" family, I love the border with the batik soft shadowy grey just showing up softly, and then travelling through the quilt to make the triangle boxes stand out. Sorry Donna, but i'm still not a lover of black, even if they do call for it in the pattern instructions, it's not for me. I do though so appreciate your time and work spent making these different quilts, as your talent in making things not as hard as they look really encourage newbies that maybe this isn't a first quilt, but it surely isn't going to be a decades of learning to make it. Your kind approach in teaching and sharing hints and tips on how to get it right, even the admittance of having to take out a couple of blocks that didn't sew just where they should have, gives us all encouragement that it goes wrong sometimes to the very best of us. Have a lovely week flower and thank you to the handsome James once more for his technical skills behind the camera, getting every shot perfect. Sending you all crafty hugs from Norah, Glenochil, Scotland

I do like the shadowing effect in the border, but the techniques for the sashing aren’t the way I’d do it. I find it easier to manage and to line up the seams if I sew the sashing on one side of all blocks that need it, then the adjacent side gets a sashing+cornerstone, then they’re assembled in rows. I learned this from The Gourmet Quilter (Susan Clare from NZ), and it really works well for me. Thanks for demonstrating a pattern with a few advanced techniques, Donna!❤

I've made this years ago. It had no sashing and was called "Corn and Beans", like a farm field. It was one of the first quilts I made when I returned to sewing. I used a bunch of scraps, just in case I screwed up. I somehow got a good smattering of colors. ❤😊 Beautiful as always.
