I really like these blended videos where you start in the field taking photos and finish off editing the photos in Lightroom. Thanks Ian for this video, really enjoyed it.

Always enjoy your on location videos, but I find these 'capture to edit' videos to be the most beneficial. I appreciate they are probably tedious for yourself, but one of these on a somewhat regular basis would be very welcome :-) A lovely image again and thanks for sharing your process 👍

I value your location videos the most for two reasons. First, you describe your intent and what you hope to achieve at a given location. Sharing your image-making thinking is very enjoyable. Second, I enjoy anything you share about how you use your equipment, strengths and limitations and some of your major development decisions in Lr/Ps. Would you be open to share your locations as well?

Lovely image Ian and enjoyed watching the post. Would like to see more woodland photography if that’s possible.

I like best the on-location discussion of light, composition etc. The thought process.

Very helpful thank you! Great to see more on location videos, the odd processing one like this is good though.

Thanks for another great video. They’re always enjoyable and informative. In the future I would love for you to share how you find locations and how you prepare before you arrive. I realize that there will always be things you can’t control but you always seem to have a plan.

As an Arch Linux user, I have to use Gimp as an alternative to Photoshop, and you have just taught me to blend 3 images together. I have followed tutorials for Gimp with not a lot of success until now. Thank you soooooooo much Ian.

I am a very recent subscriber as well, so I can't say much about which format of your videos is my favourite but I liked this one quite a bit. I especially liked the simple, yet effective way of using Photoshop.

Great video again Ian 👍 I think you and Henry Turner should put your heads together and see if you can both sort your timings out and get to the location in plenty time without rushing around trying to get your shots (Henry was the same tonight, running a wee bit late lol). Back to the video, I like how you did it by showing the shoot and then the editing of the shot, it gives a smashing insight into how to put it all together. I like night photography so maybe if you did some landscapes at night and edited them it could be pretty helpful. Thanks for sharing this video, keep up the good work 😁👍

Location videos are good, I alos like to see your edits and I found your review of the Fuji 50-140 f2.8 lens really useful.

Thanks Ian for another excellent video. I really enjoy the on location videos as well as the capture through to completing the edit…. Both are great… and I did enjoy those videos without speaking as well !! I’m not so keen on gear videos, I’m more interested in photography than cameras ….. and You Tube is overrun with videos focused on gear already.

Ian, I recently discovered your chanel and love the format. I enjoy seeing you out in the field taking "no fuss" images but particularly appreciate seeing the final image edited in LR & PS. Great image in this video, thanks so much.

I think I’m already outvoted with folks preferring PS/LR videos, but I find that if I was better at both recognizing and solving problems in the field I wouldn’t need to have the PS/LR skills to solve the problems after the fact. It’s frustrating when I get back home only to see I have an unrecoverable issue because I didn’t take everything into account in the field or properly solve the problems I did recognize. I like seeing you work through things before hitting the button (like this video).

Dear Ian, great workflow ....thxs for that. I have some questions : 1. Why you go for the xf18-55 mm instead of the 10-24 ? 2. Why no HDR in LR and perhaps go for better quality in LR ? 3. I work with LR and C1 and most of the photos habe a bit of more sharpness in C1 , did you check that ? Thxs and regards from germany Thomas

Hi Ian, another great video thanks for your efforts as always. Love to see the whole process from capture to finished item. Sometimes it’s the edit that catches us out. It’s great to see your approach. Have you tried the new DXO for Fuji RAW files? I would value your opinion. It’s available as a limited period free trial download. Might be worth another video ?! No pun intended intended in that last sentence. Thanks again. Cheers. Steve
@ian_worth2 жыл бұрын
Yes mate, its on my list funnily enough, it looks like a really interesting piece of software 👍👍
@fredericsoumier80962 жыл бұрын
The new DXO is a real gain for the X Trans sensor. Just my words, so get the free trial and do comparison with your actual software. You even have the option to save the demosaicing and the optic corrections as a DNG for further editing as a you'ld do with a RAW file
@fredericsoumier80962 жыл бұрын
I always like how you talk about photography. Nevertheless I have a question : why don't you use Focus Stack in Photoshop ? Pure curiosity no criticism
@michaeljude89312 жыл бұрын
It was not an ideal situation with the wind and overcast... brilliant the way you stay technically focused, upping the iso to 400 seemed like it was "just enough" to slow the wind .. moreover, It's an excellent demonstration of analysis and what to see and edit in post. Cheers.
