Hey Jack.. nice shave! I was just looking at this razor last night considering to purchase… There were a few factors that served as barriers however, first being it was out of stock lol. Second, as you alluded to, I’m not crazy about that price but could overlook it if all else matches up with my interests in a razor. The third factor is the aesthetics of the razor… I don’t like that handle, I’m a 3 inch handle shaver so this handle doesn’t suit me in terms of aesthetics or function. I would like to see this razor high polished at its price. So right now, I’m intrigued by the razor, mainly due to your compliments, but there’s things keeping me from buying it. I guess we’ll see once it becomes available. Overall I just haven’t had much desire to buy many new razors… I’m really content with my WR2 1.15, Karve razors, Charcoal level 2 razors (older versions), Timeless .68 OC scalloped, and Paradigm DB2020. Those are probably my top 5 DE razors which I need to do a post on soon. Thanks Jack, appreciate the video!

I have to be honest Blutt Razor is exceptionally Built you have to see it in person this is my view and opinion.. Now on list of razors your right one of the best shavers you mentioned except Timless .68 not a very good shaver as I prefer their Slim Edition so smooth I was shocked by it..give it a try.. As per Charcoal Goods Gen1 LvL2 and 2 are top notch smooth shavers and hard to obtain tho worth every penny tho buying it.. Wolfman WR2 1.15 SB & .95 OC very smooth I really like it and my Wolfman WR1 .54DC is not bad could be little smoother tho.. Here is a link as I seen to jack if your curious to Blutt Polished by me in my workshop I do this as hobby which takes hours/days to get it to perfection and detail attention. How does the Apollo lite with the less aggressive head compare to this razor? I own a brass karve “a” and “b” plates. I was thinking about getting an Apollo or a blackland with the artisan club blades. Thanks for your thoughts on the comparison.

It's difficult to say, because of the different blade gaps this offers. The weight of the Apollo makes it shave quite differently.

Hi there Jack! Do you think that .86 could be too much for daily or every other day shaving? Blutt R-1 is the most beautiful razor ever made, and I want my get my hands on that...So far, the Razorock GC 68 is my go to, and I also tried the GC 84, but was a bit too much for daily shaving. Thanks!

Jack you seem to be a man of MUCH knowledge and you've tried many razors.... the Rex Ambassador I have it and even on setting 1 I find it a bit aggressive Which razor would you suggest I try to get instead of the Rex I've heard that for an adjustable it's a bit aggressive and I'm starting to think that's why I just can't get a decent shave with it.

I agree with you, Ray. The Rex is pretty unusable past 2 for me - especially for daily shavers. The issue with the artisanal adjustables is that there aren't many. My adjustable recommendation would be the Tatara Muramasa but it's expensive. If you're not bothered about the razor having a dial to adjust but it just be adjustable (you can change the blade gaps mid shave) I would recommend the Karve - brass or stainless, it's fantastic.

I can deal with different plates Just trying to get a feel for what's out there and hopefully I can trade my rex for something usable.

Great shave Jack! I really like the razor but my only issue is that the baseplate corners feel a bit sharp and pointy. I don’t know if you experienced it but sometimes I get a sting here and there during the shave if the base plate corner edge touches the skin at a slight angle. I just have to be more focused while shaving. Other than that it’s great 👍

I agree. I had a V1 model where it was a lot more noticable believe it or not 🤣 The V2 still has the issue but it's been improved. I know that's something Pascal is working on.

I've spoken to a famous Canadian Mafia member who told me the Outlander has ended his RAD. Is not interested in buying any more. Will the Blut be your RAD killer? Is it that good for you? I'm considering purchasing it

I've never really had RAD, being honestly. I've always continued to buy because I had the money and I like to try new things. If RAD was a thing for me, I would have stopped after receiving the stainless Karve. As for the Blutt, it's truly excellent - the best shaving experience I've had with a DE.

I brought this razor and absolutely hated it but fortunately was able to get a refund. It just shows how YMMV. For me the quality of the stainless steel was very poor and mine even arrived with a scratch on it, I don't like the way the stainless steel feels, if you compare it to wolfman, raw shaving and paradigm it's no where near the quality. Also I hated the Handel it was like it's been designed for a woman. Then onto the shave I didn't like the way the stainless steel felt against my face not smooth or slick at all. I got the 0.99 plate and it was so mild I really didn't like it. That's just my review

I really like your videos even though I have to turn captions on to get all the words. I'm in the US. One point though. Nobody wants to spend the whole video looking at a large pimple below your lower lip. Get rid of them before you do the video.
