About my work - I remove beaver dams when I receive an order from a state organization.
I do not choose which dam to remove. It is decided by officials at the request of nearby residents. Each dam is assessed in advance if it can and if should be dismantled.
Removing the dam is not a threat to beavers. I do not remove their houses - lodges.
Dams are removed only in places where beavers cause damage, for example by flooding nearby fields, flooding the basements of nearby houses, or when the stream on which beavers built their dam is degraded.
Even though beavers are very invasive animals, they are under strict protection in our country.
I personally like all animals, so beavers are fine too.

Lots of that tall grass might be an invasive species call Phragmites. Any local regulations on mucking with it. We sure do here.

I very much enjoy the sounds and your video. In the US, beavers are being relocated to areas in large rivers. This has help with slowing water down, green areas returning to once drought-ridden land. These dams hold water on the land longer thus negating some areas from fire altogether. It recharges the groundwater and improves plant health, which then encourages insect and animals to return to the areas providing food and fertilize for once dead and dying landscapes. I'm curious as to if Poland has considered anything like this? While beavers can be a nuisance in some area; they are a great benefit to other areas all the while doing what comes naturally to them. They are some of the best architects for our environment if only we could see their good.

As you say yourself; in some areas, beavers can be a real boon - in others, a nuisance. When their dams start flooding farmland and forests, they need to be removed. Drought is hardly a problem in Poland.
