I certainly will. Got some anemones growing in my front garden so I won't even need to visit a florist's. Thanks for another wonderful clip where your passion and thoughtfulness shines through.

This was sooo helpful! I've been putting off buying lighting because I have been afraid of off-camera lighting and focus stacking. But you make it look doable and, most importantly, FUN! I'm going to go ahead and purchase my lighting setup now! Thank you!! :)

This is an excellent idea. I can’t wait to go buy some flowers and start photographing them with my new macro lens.

Andrew, you’re quickly becoming my favorite KZbinr! My husband gave me a macro lens for Christmas and you’ve given me the ambition to try something at home. THANKS! Love the images, BTW! I have a Z7 so I’m looking forward to trying the auto focus.

Thanks Andrew, for a great video, did you see the small insect above the whitish drop at 16:22.

I've been doing a lot of macro the last year or so but I usually try garden shops or the local outdoor mall hanging basket. This I can use buying an assortment or bouquet a week and being able to take my time composing the shot with a handheld light flashlight or torch to come from behind. I have tried focus stacking but not on a tripod and with a remote. Inspired again...thanks.

Excellent video Andrew, what is the make model of the mini tripod and clamp please.? Many thanks Dave.

Thanks for a really good video, great ideas to try out. It is interesting how much you can see the flowers moving at around 11:00 minutes in the video, I am interested was the tripod leg touching the table, or is it just movement from the floor, as it is not like you are moving that much ?

I am doing it the same way the video shows with a Canon R10 and a Canon RF 100 400 m with 2 close up lens and photo stacking up to a 100 pictures.

Lovely stuff. I really appreciate what you do, as it’s not devoted to insect macro macro. The last time I left a comment was when I was critical of aggressive post processing - but that was really due to my being color blind!

Andrew, what is the power of your light? Just curious!
@AndrewLanxonPhotography2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike, I'm using an Interfit LM8 LED light here which is a 100W light and I'm using it at max power, so it's chucking out quite a bit of light!

R6 has an focus stacking function ? Are you sure ? Please make a video about that, I don t find it in the menu.
@AndrewLanxonPhotography2 жыл бұрын
Yep, it's called focus bracketing and it takes a series of imaging, automatically moving the focus through the frame. you still need to merge them yourself later on though. I'm actually using an R5 here, but I checked the R6 has this function too.

When photostacking do you move just the focuspoint or do you move the camera ? i do like your videos. Keep´em coming
@AndrewLanxonPhotography2 жыл бұрын
I usually keep the camera fixed and twist the focus barrel. Thanks for watching!
