for anyone that wants the alternative natural route that won't nuke your hair follicles and will infact encourage the natural cycle - the alternatives are coffee hair mask, rosemary oil, microneedling, most imporantly we have to cut out processed foods. Mino/fina does work, but the side effects can be troublesome.

I'd love to come to your shop for a cut. I have a receding hairline, thinning towards the back and a double crown. I'm 60 and Scottish descent. I'd like a youthful cut, perhaps with fringe? I'd probably come every couple of months if I'm close enough to do so 😊. Can I get your email to send a few photos ranging from age 18-60. Brilliant conversation and work with this young man. Coming from a family of men with male pattern baldness, I personally do not think twice about whether or not a man is balding-but, I do understand that the men in my family have thought about it quite a lot. Personally, I care more about character/integrity in men, but I can completely relate to aesthetics as a woman. This cut is terrific for this young man.

This is very encouraging. I’m a similar age with a similar level of hair loss. 3 months on finasteride and my hair looks almost exactly like the photo where he was picking up the shorter hairs growing in. Thanks for making these videos and encouraging me to start early

May I ask is that a pill? My son had hair thinning at a young age since having Covid and did it grow back baby hairs at the hairline?

@@cleocatra9324 it’s available in a pill or topical. I take the pill. I suggest talking with a dermatologist and doing your own research. Many men also stack finasteride with minoxidil, which I’m not taking but may start later on. The finasteride worked for me in terms of stopping hair loss and growing back some hair.

@@cleocatra9324 Finasteride is a tablet that prevents hair loss caused by male pattern baldness. It is also available as a spray but it's not as effective. The tablet will prevent or significantly slow hair loss for around 90% of men. Hairs that have lost more than 50% density will not recover fully. Dead follicles cannot be brought back. The baby hairs at the hairline is likely caused by Minoxidil, which is a growth stimulant. It prolongs the growth phase of follicles but it will not prevent more hair loss.

Not to minimise the anxiety re: hair loss which is real, but as a reassurance to him, he would still look amazing with everything buzzed off.

I have severe psoriasis and am on Tremfya. It's a shot (I decide if it is my belly or arm) given every 2 months. My skin is so soft, and my hair is long, and I have hairs all over my head growing back. I want a layer cut to allow the tiny hairs to blend in. I am thrilled. 😊❤ I'm happy for this gentleman.

I like this cut on me also! And I am a woman! It shows out my curls, and is so easy to care for. He can also dry till damp, then blow it while he is bent over, and I crunch with fingers and the put a gel in and it looks amazing! And, I am a huge fan,, even though you cut mens hair, I love how you change things for them!

It was a great cut, but I think the client has been dealing with his hair loss with products to reduce or reverse it and his hair is growing back. It can be done if started early enough in the hair loss process.

I am the only one at my place of work that cuts hair on the skin....Loved it when you did that on the neckline. Also I'm doing more and more soft edge with point cut. Almost all my female customers with longer hair(shoulder or below) prefer the soft edge.

I really appreciate the discussion of men’s hair loss. My hair started thinning at 27, mainly in the front. When I was 29 i lost my partner. Within 6-7 months a majority of the top and crown were gone. Also, a quarter of my hair had turned gray. I have no doubt it was attributed to stress and trauma.

Some of my favorite videos here have been with the men who had really asymmetrical faces and perhaps very hairy necks. One guy came in with his sister who was supportive, but who teased him about the haircut being 50% hair cut and 50% neck hair cut. Dan always pulls it together for his clients. Tom here is classically good looking. I always wonder what some of these guys are going to look like at age 50!?
