What's not okay is to be desperate for it, and it's not okay to have the feeling that you won't be happy until you get a girlfriend. You have to learn to love yourself first. That's where I'm at. This hit at home my brother is also 29 and he’s also never had a girlfriend. He had a tumor in his head when he was a child ( surgery caused him to lose function of certain areas of his face, paralyzed half of his face) as a result his physical appearance affected him and brought out a lot of insecurity. I remember in elementary school kids would mock him and tell him he looked like a monster, he acted tough ignoring them. He’d go home and lock himself in the room breaking down in tears thinking the world looked at him like a monster…. He’s now very successful in his work life bought himself a house. I love him to death and it honestly brings tears thinking about what he went through.

Damn man. I am a guy who turned 23 just 13 days ago and I never had a girlfriend before. I had my first ever date over 3 months ago at the age of 22. She is 19(turning 20 after a week) and we went to the mall and ate in Mcdonalds and took some pics and hugged each other and I was pulling her cheeks a lot too. She also has called me handsome before and even said I am an amazing person she met when wishing me on my birthday a few days ago and we may again go out somewhere this month but we are just friends now. I also follow several girls from our institute on Instagram and they are all within 21-25 age range but I am yet to message them. For several months I also have been chatting with this another girl on Instagram who is 19(turning 20 in April). She was in the same school as me but we didn't know each other that time. She is very sweet and we send each other virtual hugs daily and plan on meeting soon to eat somewhere as we are both foodies. But I am still single in the end.

The depressing part is that I put myself out there: I asked women out, I signed up on dating sites or joined new groups to meet new people. But then I made a New Year resolution to end it, because I realized something. I do not believe in society anymore. I say two words to ultimately eliminate the self-doubt that tries to attack me: screw norms. I'm 27, still live at home, having _never_ moved out. I have never had a girlfriend or a date, and I don't even have a driver's license. I have both a learning disability and ASD, and sometimes I say unfiltered things or act weird in social moments. I assume my ASD makes me "less normal." I don't have too many friends now that I've graduated from college and most of my friends have left town. My coworkers all seem to fit in; I usually stand out. I used to feel like a misfit at work, but now I realize that it's not a big deal. It's just they're not my people, they're each other's only. If my ASD makes them not like me enough, that's their problem. Sure, I don't have a great filter, but it doesn't define me; nobody is perfect. I don't care if people find me weird or annoying. I don't care that my both my sisters have boyfriends and started dating at 16 while I've always been single. I don't care that I can't drive. I don't care that I still live with my mom. I don't care that I went to a small charter school than the "superior" public school that has many more activities, adventures, and organizations. I don't care about any of my weaknesses; I still have confidence in myself. It doesn't matter what others think of me, it's what I think of myself that matters. I will never fall for society's tricks again; society is buIIshit, and that would explain our government and political leaders. I say "SCREW NORMS!" I'm 24 and I've never been in a relationship. Meditating has helped me so much with the feelings of shame as well, it's so powerful. I used to identify so much with the idea of myself as someone who is not good enough, who is undesirable, unlovable, etc. but now I can see that that is just a thought and is not what I am. The aim of life should be peace within yourself, not the acquiring of things which you think will finally make you a worthwhile person. A relationship will not make you happy forever, nothing can give you eternal happiness. It won't take away the feeling of not being good enough either. Is it still as bad to be in the same boat at 22 or 23? I am a 22 year old guy and I never had a girlfriend before but I did go on my first ever date 2 months ago. She is 19 and we went to the mall, ate in Mcdonalds, took pics and we hugged too. I was also pinching her cheeks a lot as she was cute. But 2 weeks after the date she became toxic after I messaged her saying me to go to hell and leave her alone forever and then she blocked me on all social media apps. She basically just used me for free lunch and to take pics of her so she can post them on social media. This did make me lose so much hope. But a month ago, I went out with this another girl too who is also 22 or 23 now. We are in the same class where we go for classes to prepare for exams to get into an MBA B School as I just graduated college 4 months ago and planning to study MBA next. We mainly roamed around the city and had lunch in a nice restaurant and it was really nice and fun day for us and we might again go out somewhere but we are just friends. I pinched her cheeks too while we took selfie but was kinda shy to ask for a hug. I also have a big crush on this another girl who is in the same class and she is also 22. She does say me hi and initiate conversations with me but usually I am shy near girls in person so our conversations are usually short. I also pinched her cheeks last month when she asked me how she was looking and I answered cute and started pinching her cheeks. I also gave her a chocolate 2 months ago. Nowadays I noticed she smiles a lot at me and waves her hands at me and I end up blushing seeing her and some of my classmates there teases me haha but she has several male friends so I do feel scared.

I don't know if I could get into a relationship now, thinking about going out, buying stuff for her, then maybe moving in together and buying all the things for the apartment etc. gives me headaches. Thinking about having kids in these times just gives me fear and anxiety. People need to understand that you can be happy without a romantic relationship, if you just want to get a girlfriend for the sake of being in a relationship, you could end up in a very bad place with no money

I`m 20 years old have never had a gf and still virgin, but this actually make me proud and confident. The fact that I have kept myself pure and improve my life daily instead of dating girls makes me feel like I become better than others. Now it`s the time to improve yourself not to date girls (of course you can communicate with them). This bring meaning and fullfield your life. My lack of experience with girls made me release the mistakes men do and that there are so many better things that having 2 weeks relationship Also you should be ready to enter in relationship. I went monk mode about 25 years ago, and I'll admit there were many times I really struggled with the consequences of that, but now in my 50s, as I see most my friends and co-workers miserably divorced, drowning in debt, paying alimony, and paying CS for a kid they never get to see, I realize it was the best decision regarding relationships I could have made.

I just commented in another video about how much you had improved since I arrived to this channel through that "Never had a Girlfriend" video, I didn't know whether you had found a person or not but I could see you looked more confident and happy in your videos. My case has been so similar, I was also very obsessed with finding a Partner since 2016, but since around 2019 I've been doing way better thanks to therapy and meds. Haven't found someone yet but now I'm happy for what I have, instead of being miserable for what I want to happen and hasn't happened yet.

I honestly think that if you do ever get into a relationship, you'll wonder why you were pining for it all these years. Sure, being with somebody is nice and can be rewarding but it's also a lot of work and can be very hard at times. Life isn't a rom-com, and your life isn't going to magically get better just because you're with someone; if anything, it can exacerbate your existing problems -- ask me how I know! Enjoy being single. Maybe you'll find somebody, maybe you won't. It isn't the be-all and end-all of life, and it's definitely not worth torturing yourself over.

I think this is such an important conversation for men to have. There's no timeline for being in a relationship. It doesn’t matter if you've never dated or never had a girlfriend. It's probably pretty common for a lot of young men. There's absolutely no shame in that. I agree with this. I personally believe the biggest lie one can tell themselves is that they NEED romance in thier life to feel happy or complete, you don't. If your someone who truly wants it than yeah improve yourself, socialize more, put yourself out there and find the right partner. But you must always remember that romance you seek can also be your downfall with how many problems it can cause later down the line, whether that be lack of communication, interests not aligning, becoming way to emotionally dependent to said person, unwanted kids, lack of money, toxicity, hell the worst of all being indiferent within the relationship. Marriage isn't what is used to be anymore, divorce rates are at an all time high, the economy every year gets worse, both men and woman keep becoming more self centered. With the way the world is going you are honestly better off just enjoying yourself and having fun with your hobbies than having to deal with some one that may or may not put the same effort as you in a relationship. My respects to all the young men and woman that do find that special someone and are both happy to be with each other, as for me I personally enjoy being alone, not having to worry about someone or feel like I'm not good enough, having to deal with pointless drama, I can enjoy all my hobbies when I want to, spend the little money I have on stuff I want instead of feeling forced to give someone a gift, and enjoy the little time I have to myself after working and going to university to myself and not on someone that may or may not stay. At least for me in my current state dating is a no for me apart from the previously mentioned I'm also to lazy to care about others, yet I'm happy and enjoy my current life. Romace isn't something you need in life, it's a want and if your someone that desires it than good for you but just know you can easily live with out and you'll perfectly fine.
