I can’t believe I’m saying this but your videos kind of changed my thoughts on pregnancy . Pregnancy always scared me, being a mom and all that, I always thought : Hell nah I am never ever having a baby ! I love kids but I could never picture myself bring one into the world, yet your journey through pregnancy has made me think “ maybe I’d love to grow a little human in me, and become a mother someday!” You make it seem way less scary, so much happier, peaceful and confident that I’ve been imagining it. Not saying I’m gonna pop a baby tomorrow( we are SO not ready ) but it definitely brings more positivity and peace to my mind. You’re a beautiful human and you’ve been glowing so much, even more since your pregnancy, you put so much love in everything you do, it’s inspiring to see. Love your energy. I wish all the best to you and your family. 🐣

I had an horrendously awful, abusive upbringing. I had read so many books and articles talking about the cycles of abuse. That because I was abused there was a very good chance of being abusive. I can’t abuse a kid if I didn’t have one right? 🤷🏻♀️ I convinced myself I didn’t even like kids. I was upfront with my husband before we got married there wasn’t any way I’d ever change my mind about having kids. Right before our 3rd wedding anniversary I found out I was pregnant. I thought about it for a while and discussed it with my husband. I couldn’t have an abortion because I didn’t believe in that. I was terrified my entire pregnancy. Someone told me that having a baby was like walking around with your heart outside of your body. That you’re bonded to your child differently because they are the only beings that know what your heartbeat sounds like from the inside.

In the Uk we say that when you are having a boy you glow and your face and skin are glowing. You look amazing. Oh and my hair is curly but went straight when i was pregnant. It's back to normal now but i will warn you it may fall out a little but it's normal. You will not lose much it's just a hormone thing . Another thing is my friend told me to make sure i use lip balm when i go into labour and she was right. Your lips dry from all the breathing you do so it's a good bit of advice. I hope that helps 😊

I had to be induced all three times at 38 weeks when I gave birth, because my blood pressure just could not handle the end of pregnancy. My blood pressure was slightly elevated prior to having kids so i was just too uneducated on how to treat my body better during pregnancy. I’m so glad you have such a great labor team with you, and I’m going to continue to send all the natural birthing vibes your way! ✨ The last few weeks seem to be the longest and the fastest all at once. I used to always say “If only I could take my baby bump off for a few seconds then put it back on lol 😅

All the best for you and Jake and your soon to be next chapter 🌻 Just a little medical fact from the field, they don't always induce the pregnancy just because something's wrong or there is an active complication but they induce it sometimes also as a precaution measure because if your already past 37 weeks and considered a healthy pregnancy the weeks that follow are not just uncomfortable for you cause of the size of the baby but also for the baby itself and sometimes the labor doesn't want to start in a natural way so the decision comes down to a medical induced pregnancy because they want to prevent any complications that may occur, even if your entire pregnancy journey was healthy and your still not totally "done" in the weeks: the more pregnant you are the more risk can come. Gentle reminder for everyone, a pregnancy is a natural state for us but it's also such a complicated state that involves so much doing in our body that a person can count itself lucky if everything goes according to the "Plan". Sissel I wish that everything goes well and you enjoy every last bit of the journey and am very happy for you that you are feeling comfortable with the medical professionals that are following your pregnancy because that's such an important part of the whole process. Sending much love ❤️

I am so invested in your entire pregnancy journey that since you turned 35 weeks pregnant I remembered that Noa is a little bigger in size, that since then every time this day of the week arrives I think "what if today's video she says " I'm already going into labor” or “Noa is already here” (sounds crazy ik) but I'm very excited, like everyone here, watching this whole journey/chapter to move on to the next one, continue with you, listening to you, and see how you have become a mom. I don’t know maybe is bc you have changed many of our perspectives and thoughts about pregnancy with all the videos being as honest as possible that at least I think "maybe it's not so bad to want to be a mom in the future” and for me that is crazy 😂 have a great week sissel 🤍✨

Oh and one piece of advice I got that was THE most useful bit of advice I got… In the middle of your labour, and coming towards beginning to push, you get flooded with emotions and worry that you can do this anymore, you sort of panic and say this. This knowledge that your body ( and I’d say almost every woman - including me - goes through during labour) does this and that you can push through these sudden onset of emotions (the dula and midwives know this part of the labour and delivery too), you know you’re moving to the part when you’re ready to push, and then it’s so close to seeing your gorgeous baby Noa. Concentrate on that thought that Noa will be in your arms soon and you will get through that part. The feeling you get when you push is like someone doing a Chinese burn (I don’t know what they call it anywhere else - but look it up in UK slang) inside your lady parts. I know it’s a lot to take in (and TBH a very personal topic), this was the absolute best advice I ever got and it stayed with me through 3 births, 1 at home in 1 hour and 50 mins with no medications whatsoever, it was beautiful, magickal, meditation music playing, crystals, a couple of midwives and family and friends with me and she came out in 3 pushes 🥰

I have watched a lot of birthing videos in Korean hospitals, and as someone who lives in America, I was shocked. I would not be able to do it, unless I didn't know anything different. Not having my baby with me and looking at her through a glass the first few precious days of her life would've been devastating. She's now 23, and even back then, she never left our hospital room. It just made me so sad when I watched these videos. I'm happy you have the option to do it differently. I'm not sure if you've already said it, but are you going to be going to a postpartum center? Now, that is something that I think the rest of us should get behind, lol. At least a little more focus on the support need in the fourth trimester. I'm anxiously awaiting for you to meet Noa! Praying all goes smoothly!

my bubba girl measured 80th percentile from week 20 😅 and she did not slow down...she took her sweet time though and didn't wana budge! here in canada, nobody even mentioned induction until 40 weeks (41.5 weeks is national limit) - it actually worried me because i thought the longer she's in there, the bigger she's getting! 😂 sometimes when it's your first baby, your body is a bit reluctant, even if you're super ready. i had wanted the same kind of birth, but because i had to be induced, they put monitors on your belly and you can't move around as much. i did get to 7cm dilated, but then her sweet head got stuck for 12 hours, bless her. no amount of walking or peanut ball could move her! c-section was only option. while it wasn't a straightforward "plan", it was still quite a relief, because baby takes the decision out of your hands, and you just gotta roll with it. babies have a way of taking things out of your control 😂 it was still wonderful, it was still magical, so don't fret if he gets too comfortable in there lol 🥰 wishing you guys the absolute best! ✨

What I told my doula patients especially first time parents was to look at old pictures of you and your partner. The photos of his past from his childhood and of the mother's childhood and beyond 21:43 . Even if you have seen them before, it was just briefly and you never have seen them as about to be, parents. It changes the way you will see the little features of family that will be seen in your baby. Then look at your courting days, and your moving in days, and your wedding and all the wonderful days that hold both of your hearts. Do this while in a quiet space, with candle light, something to drink. Non alcoholic. And relive the moments of your life that strengthen your relationship to this point. The next few weeks you will change your status. You will be a family of 3. Almost all of my clients, loved doing this. I hope you and Jake will love this. Noa will too. P. S. I am glad to hear that you will pamper yourself before labor. You will be empowered and relaxed doing so.🙂

My water broke exactly on my due date. If my labour didn’t start within 48hours they would have induced me. So i also did a lot to induce labour. It started after i ate spicy mexican food. So spicy food is for sure recommended, especially if you like it 🤭 and i also did drink Mugwort tea! It was used in Europe in really old times. My midwife didn’t even know it but she did approve it 😎👍 Japan even has sweets with Mugwort. Maybe Korea aswell? Would be fun to try such sweets. Nor sure if the dosage is enough but delicious to try 😜 the old latin name of mugwort also has vulgaris in it. Which means vulva. ❤

Have a wonderful date night. Noa will be here when he is ready. Often the first baby can arrive late ❤❤❤

Yes! 50% of first time moms give birth after 40+5. I’m hoping to be part of the other 50% haha let’s see 🤣💚

I'm wondering - do you have any stretch marks around the belly from this pregnancy and what do you do to ensure they're minimal if any? Because that's one of my biggest fears surrounding body changes and i fear none of the products on the market actually do anything, yk :/

You can’t really do anything about stretch marks honestly, it’s mainly genetic. I have a bit of red marks by my belly button but that’s it. Make sure to keep your skin moisturized 💚
