Omfg he lost me as a grown man not being able to put a tent together. In that kind of scenario honestly if you can’t figure that out maybe he’d be better off at the coffee shop lol. Afterwards he proceeds to looks for an old building he explicitly told wouldn’t exist (no infrastructure or prior habitation whatsoever). At first I respected the drive but my 5 year old figured out how to build a tent in his own lol hard to believe he’s that motivated vs just another person looking for handouts and whining things don’t fall in his lap. Sadly reminds me of 9/10 our applicants these days

I was well ahead of that. I'd counted at least 3 red flags during the interview, the most obvious being 'here's someone who won't be missed in a hurry'. Plus the use of the word 'eliminated' after using the alert button... All the questions he had on the helicopter ride? I'd have one. 'What's the chance I'm never seen again?'.

This needs a part two or at least a sequel, fingers crossed it's coming! If it's not a show production and people are just left there regardless, it was totally meaningless to punish the protagonist by not giving him the second bag upon him uttering a question to the pilot. And there must be a reason why they are brought there in the first place. It has obviously been going on for longer than the internet is around, if that woman really has been on the island for over 30 years - so it can't be a sick dark web show either. I soooo want to know more!!!

I like them became they're more immersive. The sense of instruction and narrative direction put you there in the scene. Existential so to speak. Third person narratives don't achieve that. Two really great.. let's call them "instructional creepypastas" I've listened to are called "11 Miles" and "Bored?". I'd recommend them.

This is like Lord of the Flies meets The Island of Dr. Moreau. If the protagonist simply shut his mouth ,he would have had at least a knife. If he had kept his revulsion down, he would have had at least a tent and a sleeping bag. And that ferocious animal he was saved from could have been table meat. So many mistakes. So whoever is in charge to find these souls sure have a lousy way of picking them. At least the tent dwellers with kids got it right (somewhat). But I wonder if anyone still left on the island actually had tried to perhaps make some kind of makeshift boat to even try to leave? I mean the Polynesians and the people of Rapa Nui (Now Easter Island) ventured thousands of miles in crude canoes and used bent reeds to determine the waves. Unless.....this island is in reality in either another time, or another dimension.

I dont get it... people built homes and villages and weapons but nobody though of building a boat or smth...
@sleepynightowl15509 ай бұрын
I think you underestimate a bit how hard it would be to build a sturdy boat without leakage plus it being strong enough to survive the open sea for however long in possibly bad weather conditions. If anything on your boat fails you're done for with certainty. If you build a home on the island and it gets damaged by something, let's say storm, you will perhaps be uncomfortable for a while, but you can always fix it and it won't mean instant death. But let's assume someone did build a boat - where would they turn to? If you can't see anything but open water up until the horizon in each direction, chances are high you will die on the boat anyway because at some point the little water and food supply you could take with you would have run out without you ever being near any coast.

Amen to being thoroughly exhausted with “rules” creepypastas. I posted the same type of comment last week citing that they are hardly ever scary or interesting because the rules are always laid out at the beginning of the story and then we have to sit through the generic “clearly these rules are fake and I’m being messed with “ trope before hearing the events already laid out in the rules.
