This is made explicitly clear for example in the Pauline epistles. The purity laws were applicable to the people of Israel in the context of the pre-messianic period. Which is why othodox Jews still keep very strictly to much of what you are referencing. Your failure to grasp this indicates your absolute lack of awareness of any of the issues pertaining to this argument. You could try making this argument to the black Hebrew Israelites. Off the top of my head I think they may be the only people to whom this argument could apply. However I'm not sure gay clergy is a big issue for them lol.😂 No offence mate but you might want to consider commenting on a topic you have a modicum of knowledge about. The state law dictates what i should not do so that i do not end up in jail. Does this mean the government is taking away my freedom because it's not allowing me to steal or kill whenever i want? no. It is in this same way Biblical and Canon law, through Jesus dictates what i should not do so that i do not end up in hell. Here however, we are not offending another person but we are offending God and our just reward is not jail but rather hell. But sadly since most people think hell is more 'abstract', (something the devil finds imense joy in), they choose to ignore it altogether. This however, won't save them.

This man is in complete contradiction to Biblical teaching. As one of many examples - the Lord told the adulterous woman (that he had saved from getting stoned to death) to "sin no more" after he had forgiven her. Jesus did not tell the woman to keep on sinning. Numerous Biblical scriptures in the Old and New Testaments warn about sexual immorality, whether that be adultry, fornication or homosexuality they are considered sin to God. Sin separates man from God. So you can not keep on sinning and serve God. You may struggle with it and get tempted by sin but you are called to refrain from it as best as you can and be a new creation in Christ. We are told that Jesus is the same Yesterday, Today and Forever so he does not change his mind on these things (he is not fickle minded). This man would be better refraining from sin, getting support and pursuing The Lord or if he does not wish to do that leaving the Church. His actions do not reflect a man serving Jesus .

He says “society likes to categorize” and “a church that likes to label things” so as to pass off and diminish God’s judgement as a social fad or human-borne injustice present in the church. The Bible clearly outlines the rules surrounding sex. Sex is a gift from God to be shared only between husband and wife, so as to be inextricably tied to a Holy union of people. This kind of sex is good for humanity according to God. What is not good for humanity is when sex becomes detached from the Holy union and becomes an act of desire. Lust. Not waiting until marriage, casual sexual relationships, polygamy, non-consensual sex, sex with animals, gay sex etc. all place the act and pleasures of the sexual act above the higher principle of the holy union. In no way can you justify them without referring to and placing ultimate authority on one’s own judgement. Our human understanding of morality pales in comparison to God’s, we should not bend God’s word to fit our desires but rather seek to find the Truth in them.

Exactly! The bottom line is the church has a prejudicial interpretation of scripture and want to justify it by saying that it is the Will of God. They then try and make it a sin issue. The Bible does not provide for them a Universal Condemnation of same-sex relationships. It provides a condemnation of certain same-sex sexual practices...they have deliberately chosen to make the leap to a universal ban at the detriment of others. He is an Anglican priest, not a Catholic priest. Anglicanism doesn't hold to priestly celibacy, nor does Eastern Catholicism or Orthodoxy. However, in the latter two traditions, a priest must be married prior to ordination.
