Jeremiah 29:13 “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. We are at war. There is spiritual armor. The helmet of salvation is thought protection. Think about your salvation. Breastplate of righteousness keeps your heart from sin. Keep it straight. Belt of truth, keeps you from getting tangled up from impure actions. Shoes of the peace of the gospel. Shoes keep your walk right, spreading the message of salvation taking you to the folks who need to hear the truth and finally you get a sword. That’s your spiritual offense. I shared some verses I use in my sword, fighting against the thoughts that take you out. The devil hates you and wants you to walk away from your sword, and thinking about things that offend you, taking off your breastplate of righteousness allows you to make little compromises which lead to a lifestyle of sin. Taking off your shoes limits how far you walk. How many people you can reach and how effective you are in your preparation. Putting down your sword is when you can get hurt. The word of God is your defense against lies, knowing the truth protects you from falling for lies.

How can you be saved if there is no inner transformation and you live life with not regret or guilt? He was never saved. There is a difference in practicing sin and struggling with sin. James 2:14 asks, "What good is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him?" But he was a pastor. But he sinned with no abandon. Just a prayer without an inner heart dead to sinful nature can't save you. If you are saved and have the Holy Spirit working in your life, that is true faith.

When you realize the need for a fix by smoking weed is two fold... There is the process that excites you and the act of it. Whether you roll joints or blunts or pack a bowl... You have become addicted to everything attached to the high. Everything that leads up to that process is a part of it. You have to preempt the routine or the pattern that leads you toward that process by Reintroducing yourself to an old hobby... Or learn a new one. But we are creatures of habit and the hardest part is breaking the routines and patterns of behavior we think makes us, us. The first few weeks are the hardest... Prepare for those few weeks and save the rest of your life because you will start to notice the fog begins to lift. You will never go back to it again and if you do, you'll feel disgusted by It. I never thought I would quit.. could quit... But it is a very convincing tool of a demon to make you think it's harmless. But it will rob you of your sobriety and your true knowledge of self. Go to a Christian counselor and check out childhood wounds. Get a prescription for antidepressants for a short time if that is what you need in order to transition to sobriety. Everyone's path is different. But keep asking Jesus for help. Beg and plead until you are free.

Just do it. Stop. Day by day. Ask Jesus to deliver you. If you are surrendered, born again and repentant in Jesus, you have authority over ALL the enemy, Luke 10:19!! Then YOU can command all those demons of drugs, intoxication, pharmakeia, death, destruction, rebellion, to leave you. You can choose to repent right now, and out loud, ask Jesus to forgive you, and that you choose to repent, turn away from drugs, and then do it!

I believe you reverend.. I believe you. I was a weed smoker and stopped to get my CDL. I was smoking concentrate oils on a daily basis. I started to read the Bible with my wife to have a bit of bible study. When we regularly started I would take a hit and get high. Then we would read the word. I would be telling my wife you have gifts that I will never have while I have gifts that are special to me. We were reading and then all of a sudden a thought came into my head. It was like a voice literally speaking to me but in my head. I’m not crazy. I’m a former 3.7 GPA student and currently in school for HR Management and business administration. It was a scream of anger. The voice said “YOU THINK YOU BELONG TO ME!? You’re not mine. HOW DARE YOU BE LIKE THIS AND COME TO ME!?” I was so scared. Like beyond scared… I stopped reading the word because I really believed I made God angry. Words can’t describe how scared I was. I mocked God and you never do this. He’s not one that you play with… he’s the reason why I even wake up in the morning and I spat on his face reading his word while being high.

Praying for you won’t help. For you cannot go against someone’s will. Only you can will yourself to go the opposite direction. We as fallen creatures, need help. That’s why we were given Jesus. So YOU ask Jesus to put you in the right path. He does the work. What we are responsible for is the footwork. If you are having a problem with drugs or alcohol go to AA. If you are having a problem with your soul (mind, will & emotions) start going to a Bible study. Start reading the Bible. You have to do the footwork. We share the same name, same height(6’4)and shared a lot of the same addictions…im a little younger than you, only 22 x 2 lol… Your testimony really spoke to me and I hope to share mine on this channel one day. My experience was 2 years ago but I still have a lot of work to do before I’m ready to put it out there. However seeing testimonies like this is really helping me feel more comfortable with the idea of sharing. I just found this channel a couple months ago and so glad I did. I started memorizing the psalms of David and distracting myself from that sin for about three months and I got out of it and I’m three months out of the sin of masturbation by the grace of Almighty God so if you’ll take what I’m saying and you’ll do the legwork of memorizing that stuff you’ll be dog tired, but it will be worth it Are you really willing to do anything to get free of that sin? If you are, you’ll do this and you will see freedom from that I could’ve just not read this, but I took the time to write this believing somebody might take advantage of what I was giving them from the Lord as he gave that to me because I hope somebody will put this into implementation the way the Lord helped me too. When we get saved, there are many things that God has to heal and deliver you from... Sometimes its quickly, sometimes it takes a bit. God looks at the heart and He knows that we struggle with sin. He never winks at it, but His grace is HUGE. Im not one to say that this is not real but people that are growing and in the process of getting delivered, I just don't see God condemning them to hell because they aren't seeing victory as quickly as another Christian.
