Elders( two or more over a congregation) are to feed the flock with the word. A preacher is to preach the word and isn't over God's people. All people are to study to show themselves approved unto God, a workman that shouldn't be ashamed of rightly dividing the word of truth (2Timothy 2:15). I have spoken with many of Mr. Dollar's members and watched them follow him blindly. They will not study the scriptures for themselves. At least, it has been my experience with them. Jesus stated that the blind would lead the blind - they both would fall into the ditch. It's shameful!

I have no problem giving to my church, when I was a single mom and fell on hard times my church paid my rent, bought me food among other things. This may sound weird, but one time, I went around with a missionary trying to help him raise money to build a small church.. And, ironically, it was the poorer churches/church folk that gave the most money.. We tried to go to this one "rich" church and basically, they changed their mind (after the fact) and would not even allow us to go and talk anymore.. And other more well off churches also seem to give less.. Maybe Creflo knows this sort of thing and knows he can milk not-well-off people, because they are more generous. Creflo gives real ministers a bad name.

I just wanted to commend you, his teachings are false. Before I became a true Christian almost 2 years ago I started to listen to him alot. It was my way of seeking God. He taught some really good things and had great charisma when he spoke. Definitely drives you in but after I learned the truth about Gods word I recalled back some of the things he was saying about Jesus and realized that that was a BIG contradiction to the scriptures. My Pastor, he doesn't pimp nobody, in fact He gives out and help people on a day to day basics out of his pocket and when someone in the church falls on hard time he will have that person come and stand and whoever Wants to be a Blessing to the person sows into the person and he starts it off. The person goes to the back with two church officers who counts the money and reports that amount to Apostle and if it's low he will add more to the amount. Why, because he and his wife knows what it is to be homeless and hungry and trusting God in the midst. He's not greedy nor selfish. He's real about the call on his life and he's humble. People call him the hood preacher but I tell you what the hood was cleaned up and many guys from the hood knew he was real and that he cared. Lisa Jackson The name was not translated. It was TRANSLITERATED. Translation would have named his Salvation, Salvation of God, and Son/priest of YHVH. Transliterating was a mess because certain sounds in Hebrew did not have a corresponding letter sound in Greek.......when transliterated to English another letter adjustment was needed. I once used the correct name, but have relaxed a bit, knowing that God created every languge that exists, thus he knows what we are saying in our own languages. I cannot figure out why the new "Hebrew roots" are so fixated on roman art. NOBODY with 3 brain cells could think for an instant that those painting look like Him....there were no CAMERAS back then. Because he was Hebrew no statues that looked like him could be allowed. there is NO wAY anyone after the 3rd century knows what he looked like.

I went to the college park area church about 15 years ago. I didn't stay there, even though I was looking for a church home. I just went to a handful of services. I didn't like how big it was. I didn't like the TVs and sitting in theater. I felt like I was at the fox instead of at church.
