Where to begin!? Well, Since this is my finale vid and the year is coming to a close (and also I totally forgot to organise my christmas wishlist this year oops) I wanted to make some dedications and shout outs to some of you lovely people who have supported me and my vids all year and just generally made me smile.

To be honest I was actually relieved that Hook and Emma didn't get into a fight. I hated watching him so torn. Besides, who says Emma even saw the heart in Gold's hand? She might not have known how much danger he was in until after. Anyway, great vid as normal. PLEASE continue to vid - March is too far away.

Aw thanks! And of course I'll continue to vid - as if I could resist for three months ;) But no, I don't think anyone wanted them to *fight*, it was that a conversation of some kind was required. It would make very little sense for Emma to not have seen the heart and either way she was clearly aware of the situation when she put his heart back in his chest. At the end of the day, I was disappointed as it was a very poorly written ending to a plot that had been building up all season. Basically I explained this in response to an ask on tumblr so I'll just share that: I was disappointed. I wasn’t one of those people expecting an “I love you” or TLK or anything, but as with any major plot of a season, you have a reasonable expectation for it to be addressed and resolved in some way and I don’t feel like we got that at all. It’s extremely disappointing that we just got a 20-something second long scene of Emma returning his heart and a reunion kiss with no conversation whatsoever. It’s even more disappointing that we didn’t get any kind of emotional reaction from Emma when she saw Rumple with Killian’s heart in his hand, about to crush it and no reaction to him, quite frankly, about to die. Not just as a CS shipper, but simply from a writing perspective. It’s been a key point this season that Emma is slowly breaking down her walls and letting him in, but also very significantly that she’s terrified to lose him (refer to scene in 4x03). On the other hand, the plot of Rumple taking Killian’s heart was also rather significant, being carried over for a few episodes and yet after such a build up, the resolution was extremely anti climatic (although I did appreciate Belle finally standing up to Rumple). Maybe I could’ve understood CS not having a conversation if at least we’d have gotten any emotional reaction from Emma, but we literally got nothing. Which honestly, after her tearful and clearly very emotional goodbye to Killian, seems OOC that we wouldn’t get an emotional reaction to him almost dying (again, especially since it’s been stressed how important it is for her not to lose him). So from that stand point, I definitely agree that it was a poorly written episode that didn’t do justice to the story lines it had previously built up: it was very anti-climatic. (I also wasn’t a fan of how they did the Frozen characters goodbyes, and am a little bitter about that). Overall I think they did a real disservice to the Captain Swan relationship and I believe their relationship deserves to be treated better than just hot kiss scenes here and there - I’m here for the angst, I’m here for the emotional side of their relationship too! Obviously I enjoyed what we got - I mean jesus that make out session was hot. And it was beautiful to see Emma holding Killian’s face in her hand. But again, I feel like the scene with Killian grabbing Emma’s arm also needed some kind of follow up, but we really got nothing. So yeah, that's where mine, and I believe a lot of CS-ers disappointment stemmed from :)

While I love this show, and I love CS, the writing for this episode left me wondering what the point of the stolen heart even was if there was to be no fall-out or pay-off. I guess we will just have to imagine the next 6 weeks to be filled with long walks on the beach and candlelit dinners. Which I'm ashamed to admit I probably will ;) But not only from a CS shipper viewpoint, but just as a regular viewer, there were parts of this episode that did not make sense to me. For example, it was blatantly obvious that Killian was trying to warn Emma at Granny's - the entire scene was designed to convey warning - and she knew something was wrong, but still led her new best friends to a portal she ought to have been completely suspicious of given Killian's strange behaviour. How did they know it would take them to Arendelle? Were they supposed to see Arendelle through the door? (Because all I could see was a golden shimmer). Then, once knowing that Rumplestiltskin had found the portal, why on earth would Anna trust it to take her home and not to be some deadly set-up? Another weird thing was when Elsa thanks Emma and the Charmings for all they did, neither Emma nor Snow returned the thanks for all Elsa did for Emma. It just seemed hollow given Emma's supposed character growth. Snow has been written so poorly this season. The heart-returning scene was the strangest of all. I mean, we've now seen lots of CS kisses, so even though I fell a little spoiled in that respect, it is getting a bit repetitive. I think the writers ran out of screen-time and I guess I'm just worried that our favourite characters are falling victim to a busy, plot-driven story (that looks like it is about to get even more "busy" with the unnecessary introduction of new characters). But, at least we still have a couple to ship for, the writers have indicated that CS will continue, and there's lots of time for them (the writers) to redeem themselves. (I was a Kate/Sawyer fan so I remember how it feels to be burned by writers!) And... we have lots of lovely CS vids like this one to tide us over and spur our imagination. Thanks for all your effort - it is worth it!!! :)

Seriously, for as little time as they had actually * together, * they sure conveyed a lot... her instantly knowing he's not acting right (again), him breaking through Rumple's control just long enough to shakily grab at her arm, her holding his actual literal beating *heart* in her hands... how many couples get to do these kinds of scenes?
