After being here for some time I can tell you Alaska is like no where else in the world. Please understand that words cannot express what it's really like here but I can tell you one thing. The land itself is alive up here...and it chooses who it likes and who it doesn't. This was not where I was born and I have no family or friends here but to me this place just feels like a home that I have always knew! It's not like this for most...most go insane up here..most leave, some end there lives.. Come if you wish but know you will be seen and you will be judged. Good luck

Anyway so I have a dog, this is his name and his breed, here are specific weird events that I've seen happen. I'm not worried that my employer will find out it's me talking cause there's like 20 parks in Alaska. Twenty is a real big number. I'm also talking to my ranger friend and telling him I'm gonna tell these stories online. *Sometime later* Employer: So you've been going online and talking about the events that we specifically asked you not to discuss with anyone... Guy: *Surprised Pikachu face*

I've traveled the world, hunted big game on four continents (including a number of 'dangerous game' species), and at 20:00, when the story says 'I carry a .45-70 rifle and .500-Magnum back-up', I chuckled, because it is my preferred carry, as well, when in 'dangerous situations'! Anything lesser will easily arrange for your early-death. The .45-70 has taken countless buffalo, bears, even elephant in long-decades past. For skeptics that wonder, 'if bigfoot exist, why has no one ever 'taken' one?', well, you can't take a deer or coyote cartridge, and easily expect to survive a charging 1,000-lb grizzly or wildebeast...my assumption is that those who 'shoot at bigfoot' with .223's and .30-30's are barely wounding them. A head-shot with a .45-70 is like being hit by a Kenworth truck...end of monkey, period.

I am dying to see Alaska! I am a southern girl from the Deep South, mostly New Orleans, where we have beautiful landscapes and wilderness, but the thought of a place where humans have rarely set foot and the land is pure and wild is amazing. I don’t know much about living in a cold climate where it snows and the temperature drops far below freezing most of the year, so it would be quite a learning experience

I’ve lived in Alaska all my life, I was just thinking about how it’s a pretty good story when I came across the part where he mentioned the facility, I few years back I had a coworker who mentioned that his best friend’s dad was flying mail to some bush villages and was forced to take a different route due to weather, he ended up flying by a low level old volcano with what looked like airstrip lights coming out of the caldera, he was then intercepted not long after by 2 jets and forced to land at a nearby village, government workers then sieved his plane and completely dismantled it looking for probably any form of surveillance equipment, apparently the air traffic controller took photos of the workers doing this and gave them to the dad, after reassembling his plane by himself over the next while he was finally able to leave the village to get back home
