For anyone who didn't know, the concept of a carbon footprint was popilarized by oil company BP to put the responsibility to end climate change on the consumer and draw less attention to the fossil fuel industry. Frankly it is one of the best propaganda campaigns ever conducted. This is not to say that you don't have an impact on the climate, but the impact we leave is orders of magnitude smaller than the impact of big industries.

It's gradual, though it's already happening why do you think most of the Northern Hemisphere had the hottest summer we've pretty much ever had this year? Besides we will all die from suffocation caused by climate change long before we are cooked or frozen to death because of it.

The late stages of the album are quite peaceful imo, the static soothes me. Being as to understand the meaning of the degeneration of the songs and their leitmotifs in later instalments is beautiful. I love it. When I'm mad or kinda sad I just play the album and just listen to it for a bit. The static works as a therapeutic treatment for me.
