Hi po, Kuya BMD. To be honest, po, takot din akong gumamit ng ganitong method sa aking latest drawing na candle in the dark. Pero acrylic paint po yung ginamit ko po, Kuya. Since naubusan po ako ng black marker para sa background ng kandila, I thought of using paint bilang substitute ng black marker, and it turned out na maganda yung results nya. I recommend this technique if, in case na walang marker for background.

Do not use thick watercolor as you used here, instead use more water to the color to have a thinner consistency for creating the base layer. In this way you can have the tooth of the paper preserved for pencils. Thank you

The work is fantastic and the process is very interesting, good idea to help with the pencils. what bothers me are those watercolors, they are opaque and look like gouache, very strange. Have you tried using watercolor pencils and use the same pencil for filling up with color mixing it with water and for painting on top without water?
@BMDPortraits8 ай бұрын
It bothers me too, I wanted it to be a little transparent for me to see clearly my outlines, maybe i should put less with lots of water. I have not tried watercolor pencils yet but i am planning to get one soon.
@Fancylooks8 ай бұрын
@@BMDPortraits But if you put lots of water then you may warp the paper and have to wait more for it to dry... Hope you can try those watercolor pencils, for anyone who is on a budget, I would recommend the Faber Castell set of 24 watercolour pencils set for school, really low price and quite fantastic pigmentation for that price.... But seeing the great way you know how to take advantage of all the soft and not bright colours, and mix them in layers to get those subtle and precise skin tones you get from your extensive palette, I think that won't be good enough for you, hope you find a more suitable one

Your work is amazing! Will the watercolor base fade over time ?

I think it will last as long as the Prismacolor, because this particular watercolor that i used is an artist quality

You are such a talented artist. I have been watching you silently for awhile. I humbly ask if perhaps you could draw a portrait of Dimash Qudaibergen, because you would do him justice. He is a very talented singer from Kazakhstan. You have the talent to put his soul in his eyes.
