I'm back, nikon D4 D300s still viable?

i was lucky af. secondhand prices of the legendary dslrs were pretty damn down, when i got mine. now they started to lift of, almost doubled last 2weeks as a ceo of mpb predicted...lens prices will follow soon i guess

I missed the DSLR era and picked up a few of the late Nikon film bodies (F100, F5, N80) relatively inexpensively when returning to film photography. This led to buying a D300s, which I love shooting. Now I'm here, researching the D4. It would be nice to own a "flagship" body someday, but it's hard to justify when I already have a mirrorless body and lenses. The 300 f4, though, seems like a worthwhile purchase.

Welcome back Pete. Good to see you again. Speaking of my own kit, although not a D4, I still get a lot of use from my D90 and D7100. I have lots of new cameras including several Fuji X models and two Nikon Zfs, but I still like my Nikon DSLRs.

Good post on the old stuff as I have a low count D4. The camera always grabs the shot in low light.
