I’m extremely pale and watching KZbin became so triggering when so many influencers mentioned how gross they felt with fake tan. It didn’t matter if they said that’s just how they felt for themselves I would be thinking wow everyone must think I’m disgusting then. I realised there was nothing wrong with me but it took a long time. Glad to see you talk about it in this way.

Yes to this!! I’m so naturally pale (I’m talking porcelain 😂) and always felt like I had to fake tan to look ‘good’ and feel ‘worth it’ and you’re right it’s so triggering. The influencer industry is sometimes a great industry that can really help people but sometimes it can be so damaging by people that don’t always realise what their words can do to the thousands of people that watch them. Glad you’re feeling comfortable in your own skin. Own that paleness 💕

Girl trust me pale skin is beautiful too. I used to care about tanning and then I realised, everybody's natural, healthy skin always looks better than having patchy fake tan skin. There are so many standards when it comes to beauty and you shouldn't let your skin colour be another insecurity to add on your list! It's gorgeous

Hi Hannah, I discovered your channel because I purchased the St. Tropez express tanning mousse and I found your how to video. I loved listening to you talk (I live in the US) so I subscribed and decided to check out more recent videos. I’m 44 and absolutely embraced my pale skin ages ago. I’m so glad you realized the self tanning was actually negative for you. While I have embraced my natural skin tone, I do like to dabble in self tanning to even out my chest area when I wear certain style of tops/dresses. I also think the self tanner will make the imperfections in my legs less obvious, so for certain occasions I’m trying the St. Tropez mousse. The Tanology in this video was also on my list to try. You’re awesome and I look forward to following you.

I got covid after a Harry Styles concert! It was my first time too 😅 I’ve stopped fake tanning this week too - I’m so glad you’ve raised this pressure in society as I think the reason why so many girls fake tan is due to influencers/Instagram 💔

Loooveee the fake tan story, I feel the same way with makeup but instead of going cold turkey I decided that I do think I'm prettier with makeup and it's not that big of a deal that I do think that. Like I don't use makeup as an artistic outled I really do use it to make myself prettier and instead of feeling guilty about it (like I used to) I decided to just go easy on myself and accept it. Everyone has their own confident booster and rather if it's fake tan or makeup or working out, I don't think there's anything wrong with that like we are human and if you have the chance to make yourself feel better, just take that chance as long as you know you can live without it ❤️❤️❤️

I’m quite young I’m only 11 years old I have really really really pale skin ,I used to think oh my God everyone else in my class looks tanned and I just look like I’m I’ll the whole time but I actually really like my pale skin now ,especially with my clothes, also my brothers birthday is the same as yours and happy early birthday xx

I know exactly how you feel about the fake tan, I don’t fake tan every single week but I feel super insecure about my legs because they are literally so white they are see through 😂 when summer rolls around and it’s time to start wearing skirts again I feel super self conscious. Trying to embrace the pale a bit more this year though! X

for me it helps that i have a lot of large pores/blackheads on my body and fake tan enhances that... so i dont do it often lol. you look so pretty without it, you dont need it! hugs

Im in indonesia, and there is a trend going here. That whiter skin is beauty, so there is been awakening of skincare using. That doesn't make natural tan skin is ugly. But people start to build healthy(skin) awareness by wearing spf lotion regulary. Some people take vitamins too. And avoid direct sunlight as much as we can. Or atleast wearing long sleeves/hat. But i think this is a good trend. Since its important that we do this for long term healthy skin.

I wouldn’t say you’re pale. I would call your skin ‘lighter or natural’. Pale is associated with illness in my head :-)
