You never have to worry how long it is in between updates, we love hearing from you! I too am enjoying sewing and I am also enjoying running my business from home too. Watching an update by you is like hanging out with a coworker, so keep the updates coming (as and when of course, time must be so limited) 💕🙌

I am so happy that you are prioritising your son’s education, you are definitely making the right decision (not that you need my opinion 😂) I was classed as gifted in a struggling school, I was getting high marks and ended up getting Bs… not blaming the school but it definitely didn’t help me. I went to a better college and sort of made up for it. The only way I see the education system changing is when they do a complete overhaul and adapt to modern society. Let’s not even go into the price of uniform, parents are ripped off in both systems.

Hello from the USA, Emma! You look absolutely beautiful!! I am so glad you have come through a season of self reflection and growth, which we all need in order to be healthy and grow to our full potentials. I just ordered a few items from Vantage earlier this month for a new, beautiful monogram LV mm Agenda, which I recently purchased. Since you began Vantage, I have loved the quality of everything I have ever purchased. So, thank you for starting a company that offers top quality materials. It was lovely to watch your video this evening. Thank you and take care!❤🇺🇸

For a state school to say that you’d have to send in work for a high attaining child is absurd. High attaining children achieve spectacular things in state schools all the time. It’s a shame that these incorrect perspectives on the inadequacy of state schooling end up perpetuating the inequity of the two tier system.
@EmmaandersАй бұрын
It wasn’t my perspective. That was direct conversation with more than one state school. I made the mistake of not qualifying in this video that our situation is extremely uncommon and assumed people would have heard me discussing or showing this in more depth before. But as a previously high attaining child doing the work of several years above who could not have attained higher marks at state school -that is not what I am discussing here. A statement of fact is not incorrect. But it is infuriating to learn that state education is not an option for your family, and then to be bashed when you do your absolute best for them and are happy to have found that support.
@LB09-v6fАй бұрын
@ my comment about the incorrect perspective was, in this case, in reference to the perspective you received when you spoke to the state schools. I am beyond shocked that not just one, but more than one state school would pass on this message that they cannot cater for a gifted child, but I don’t doubt the verity of your experience. I have worked in state education for a long time. I have never heard of a child being turned away because of their giftedness, and I myself have taught many exceptionally gifted children. It was not my intention to bash you. It was more a lament on the ways in which state schooling is so misunderstood.
@EmmaandersАй бұрын
Thank you. And sorry for my misinterpretation. It is difficult. Both my husband and I were both state educated and that had been our initial plan. We even bought our home for the local state school. But we appreciate our situation is unusual- we’re yet to meet a teacher with previous experience of this- but his school have been awesome- even speaking to Mensa to get advice. And he’s so happy. Which is all that matters

Great to see you back. Be very interested to see what you're doing with your small business. I'm tempted to leave a fantastic job in the corporate world after 34 years and delve into something crafty (my current hobby) but fear I'm institutionalised. But if I don't do it now I never will 🤷♀

Welcome back and congrats on taking control of your health! Totally see your point and reasoning for private schooling. Just wish that instead of the two educational systems being so different, there was one system that allowed children of all backgrounds to get the kind of attention and nurturing environment that private schools provide. I don’t have a child nor do I plan on having one but it still saddens me to think how unfair it is, and wish the government did a better job at closing the gap…
@Emmaanders27 күн бұрын
It's very unfair- but I think most state systems- health/education/police- are being run into the ground at the moment. It's angering- but then who do you vote for?? There doesn't seem to be a political party that actually cares.
@fu4realtalk95227 күн бұрын
@@Emmaanders sadly I believe you are right. I don’t have the right to vote but I have to admit it feels as though even if I did have it, it would amount to very little.

If Henry was here in the US (well depending on the state) he’d likely be identified as gifted and get special services to help him keep up with being advanced.
