Gotta include premiums in the gold/silver ratio to really put it in perspective. Cheapest generic rounds are about 27+ each and a one ounce gold eagle is 2075. I can only get about 77 silver rounds for the same money. As a buyer, the ratio is 77 and at that rate I would probably buy gold instead of silver.

With ratio hovering at 80 oz silver, I'd go silver. Trade for Gold when ratio dips into 60s? A plan I have in my head for now.

Krugerrand is much better coin… philharmonic is comparable to round when reselling.

The Vienna Philharmonic are made by the Austrian Mint in Vienna.. the Geiger Mint is in Germany. No offense dude, you've got to start somewhere and you live and learn (well hopefully you learn, lol). With the gold to silver ratio, you have factor in premiums, which can eat up any hoped for gains, both when buying the silver and then the gold. If you can keep the silver premiums as low as possible, it's a better bet. Which usually means buying bars.

The Phil's were the same price as the Buffalo rounds in my LCS @$27 each. So no difference from bullion except I can sell over 1k ounces Phil's/Eagles/etc. at once and no tax forms.
