@@quentind1924 you didn't understand. As an example, if you hate LGBTQ+ people, then most definitely your god hates them and he'll send them to hell. If you hate a group of another religion, your god definitely hates that group too. In short, your god makes his decisions through your lenses. He hates what you hate and loves what you love. It is just a long and detailed way of saying, "gods are man made and they're made in the image of the believer." 😂That's why god had to look like a human and be proclaimed to have made man in his image. That's why that god could not look like a cow, lion, goat or hen. No, he had to look like you, a human. Ooh and he had to be a "He" also. 😂 Because the so called prophets were "He"s

Very true. That's why I tell my religious friends if you want to talk to me about your religion I will apply critical thinking and intellectual honesty to your statements so do not get angry if things begin to unravel for you. In the end they stop talking about their religion which is fine as I always tell them there is no use talking about your religion as a truth for the universe and creation. Religion is based on faith not fact. If you believe then good for you but don't throw it around like it's the end all be all because if you do I will challenge and they end up just struggling in the end which is not a pleasant thing to see. Some people need religion and it's not my job to take it away from them.

Atheistic humanist governments which are all Communists without exception killed more of their own citizens in the last century than all of the civilizations combined since written word. And I'm not even including the countless forced abortions on women living under atheistic humanists China. Christians on the other hand created the greatest civilization in the history of mankind which is modern Western Civilization. Unfortunately we did have atheistic dictators take over governments not just countries like East Germany and USSR with the atheistic governments but you have humanists anti-christian like Adolf Hitler and his socialist Nazi party and his atheist humanist anti-christian philosophical Ally Mussolini with his fascist party. @@RichardLelandLevineIII. I do not agree with you. I think you don't know what you are talking about and you have no proof. Here is something interesting that I have found. It shows that places with a high rate of atheists are doing perfectly fine. Research suggests that countries with higher percentages of atheists tend to have lower crime rates. Here are some findings: 1. A 2019 study published in the journal "Social Science Research" found that countries with higher percentages of atheists had lower homicide rates. 2. A 2018 study published in the journal "Criminology" found that countries with higher percentages of atheists had lower rates of violent crime. 3. A 2005 study published in the journal "Journal of Religion and Society" found that countries with higher percentages of atheists had lower rates of property crime. Some examples of countries with high percentages of atheists and low crime rates include: 1. Japan (around 60% atheist, low crime rate) 2. Sweden (around 50% atheist, low crime rate) 3. Denmark (around 50% atheist, low crime rate) 4. Norway (around 45% atheist, low crime rate) 5. Australia (around 30% atheist, low crime rate) It's important to note that correlation does not imply causation. There are many factors that influence crime rates, such as economic conditions, education levels, and social policies. Atheism is just one aspect of a country's cultural and demographic makeup. Additionally, it's worth noting that some countries with high percentages of atheists, like China, have higher crime rates due to other factors such as economic inequality and political repression. In summary, while there is some evidence that countries with more atheists tend to have lower crime rates, it's not a straightforward relationship and requires further research to understand the underlying factors.

There's a dumb theist who goes by Jim and sometimes as Edith. He claims that theism is a cellar full of great wine and atheism is toilet water. This makes no sense as an analogy. So here's one that's more accurate. Theism is some guy saying that there is a cellar full of fine wines with subtle flavors and distinctions to discover. Just give them 10% of their wealth, and they PROMISE that on the day of your death, you can have all that. And atheism is: "Yeah... no. I'm gonna wanna see some evidence of that cellar."

A better analogy might be having a glass containing a transparent liquid with no colour, odour, or flavour. The theist insists the liquid is wine. The atheist asks why they think it's wine and not just water, and the theist says, "You have to take it on faith".

Something I've noticed about this "feeling of peace" is that most of the time, it's induced by lighting. Growing up in church, we had a large well-lit auditorium for services. During special occasions such as communion, Easter, or Christmas, we would turn off the lights and use only small candles and torches to see. This induced a feeling of connection, as we couldn't see into the darkness, but we could see each other. And if you look at different churches across all religions and cultures, you will see an area that is mostly dim with small lights. This seems instrumental in inducing religious feeling, and in truth, it worked on me back then and it still works now as an atheist. Science Direct has a really good article that goes over the use of light in Iranian architecture and its role in Islam, I recommend it highly (I'd link it here, but KZbin doesn't like links).

I have a question: Does Satan have to follow God in terms of Divine Hiddenness? I would guess not, and that Satan could easily show up to, at least, demonstrate the existence of some sort of God.
@RyloreVanguard
@RyloreVanguard 4 ай бұрын
At least Satan would have a good reason to hide. He would have good reason for people not to believe that god existed. Of course, a kind and loving god would know this, and it would give even more incentive for him to reveal his existence.

@@RyloreVanguardbeing that God never shows up, Satan could just declare that he is Jesus, do angel miracles and Bob's your uncle, he's openly running the world as the Returned Messiah. Funny how that doesn't happen either... Almost like none of them are real.
@RyloreVanguard
@RyloreVanguard 4 ай бұрын
@@BlarglemanTheSkeptic2 While that's true, if belief in the Christian god is the only real prerequisite for entering heaven, Satan could ultimately be shooting himself in the foot if he fraudulently convinced people to believe. Either way though, it makes the bible look pretty silly.
@BlarglemanTheSkeptic2
@BlarglemanTheSkeptic2 4 ай бұрын
@@RyloreVanguard most Christians hold to the requirement that at least "repentance" is also necessary, and as we saw in the 1930s and early 40s in Germany, when you are convinced that you are acting for God, there is literally nothing that is beyond the pale. The Bible will even DIRECTLY support most such acts, sand for the rest, there is obscure language and metaphor (such as used to justify the belief that the Bible is against abortion). As for a lack of repentance, that's super easy to achieve: Satan can simply say that anyone who follows his command is automatically saved, nothing more is needed.

Free Will doesn't exist because I had no free will determining where I was born into what parents and what ethnicity I am and how my genetic makeup is whether I'm tall or short fat or skinny. It's hard to talk about free will if you happen to be born in Bangladesh or Gaza.

Religion wasn't beat in my brain in childhood. My deconstruction started young and was an athiest by 12 yrs old. I read a lot and read the bible at 12 and again at 17. I thought it was a very disgusting book that had a very disgusting little nacacistic baby man character that would snuff out his own people and went against his own rules (the killing, genocidal murderer). He seems to lie through the whole bible. I'm disabled and started taking classes so as not to get bored. It was quite interesting. I took a few classes😅 about the Torah and Koran. I stopped at Hindu because it is a complicated religion. I might try again at some point. I guess my point is that I had questions and they wouldn't or couldn't answer them as a child you get suspicious. At least thats what it seemed like to me. Religion is a waste of time. Wouldn't a community based organization where you gather once a week to discuss the community and what they can do to make it better but you don't need a god to do all that. It exist to do for everyone in the community not just religion, you can love whom ypu love and have sexual expression? Ect ect ect. Just think about it. Live in peace and as John Lennon sang, Imagine . And the world will live as one.

Why hasn't anybody questioned the holy Ghost. You would only have a ghost if something had been killed or dead or died. What died before life and time began that became a ghost and now works with God. If it is the ghost of God then God is dead
